Get Away From It All - Romantic or Family - Timberframe Cottage

  • Private and secluded on a dirt road with very little traffic, yet easy to access. Tucked in a grove of trees next to a pond with a fantastic mountain view facing south. Authentic timberframe construction with a real wood fireplace (firewood provided) & vaulted ceiling. Timbers Cottage is situated on 17 acres with a small pond for fishing, canoeing or ice skating. Canoe and life jackets onsite. Hot tub outdoors on deck that runs all year round. Nearest neighbors to the East and West are each about 1/4 mile away. One master bedroom with queen bed, and an open loft that can sleep up to 8 people (4 twin beds and 4 twin trundles). Finished basement with sectional sofa, entertainment system, and pool table.

Romantic birthday getaway

It perfect for any couple wanting to spend quality time together its so beautiful and peaceful theres plenty of room if you do have kids they have tons of extra beds and the the entertainment is a smart tv and a pool table if u need to entertain smaller kids i recommend bringing games every thing is about 30 minutes away from property but you can definitely find things to do i definitely recommend cant wait to stay again

Amazing Cabin

This is our favorite place to stay in the upper PA area. Very clean cabin with everything you need. Quiet at night and during the day. Close enough to food and entertainment. Nice little pond to fish in and plenty of nature to take in. My wife and kids always have a great time.

Peaceful and romantic

My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend away to recover from life’s craziness and connect with each other….. we found exactly that and so much more! Pictures don’t do it justice!

You can tell this place is beautiful in the pictures but this place took our breath away!!! We enjoyed 4 days of quiet, peaceful reading by the fire, naps, hotubs sessions, cooking and baking, baths, games of pool, walks with the amazing views, stargazing, enjoying the snow sunsets and sunrises….it was something out of a book and we already are looking to come back in May for my birthday! Beautiful place that we will remember forever!!!!

A little romantic getaway

My husband and I needed a weekend away. When we arrived, we realized that the cottage was even nicer in person than the pictures show! We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, the pool table for some fun and relaxed in front of a warm fire. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. The wifi worked great if you are looking for that too. Mat & Janice were fantastic hosts. We loved the surprises they left! This is definitely a place we will come back to!

"Perfectly" Middle of Nowhere, Pennsylvania...

...and I mean "Perfectly!" The first thing that struck us about this place was its location. We wanted to "get away from it all" for three days to destress and enjoy a natural setting. And boy, did this place check that box. Despite living only 3 1/2 hours away, this place felt like a world away from our normal lives. Other highlights included the spotlessly clean hot tub, the very cool and beautiful architecture of the house, the canoe at the private pond, the well-appointed kitchen that was conducive to actually cooking with their clean/functional pots, pans and utensils, the pool table, the beautiful scenery for walks near the property, and the overall privacy of the whole experience. Five stars in all respects!

Absolutely amazing!

Wow! What a place! My wife and I take this trip every year and after four years of new properties I think we found our forever getaway home!Where to start? The house is fantastically laid out with a beautiful fireplace (and plenty of firewood) in a room with nothing but windows overlooking the valley and mountains in the background where you can relax and watch the sunset. Looking for more…slip outside onto the deck and into the hot tub to enjoy the same view!The owner was quick to reply to questions we had upon arrival even delivering ice skates later on the week in a pinch so I could skate on the pond with my wife!The property is amazing and very quiet as only the few people in the neighborhood ever drove by. There are deer, turkey, and a bald eagle who made frequent visits to the trees right next to the house!Want to get out? You can be in town in about 20 minutes with multiple options for shopping and dining.I can’t wait to go back!

The cottage is delightful; it’s warm, comforting and provides everything needed - a true gem.Mat is very nice as well, the power went out the morning of my arrival and he took the time to let me know and that it might be a tad chilly for a little bit, but it was warm and welcoming.The place is clean and relaxing, it’s a great area to remove yourself from the daily hustle and bustle and go off the grid for a bit. The hot tub was a wonderful addition and added to the overall unwinding experience.
