About this property

Eucalyptus Resort - San Paolo - Rome - An oasis of peace and tranquility

  • Welcome to my home, renovated with the intention of recreating a refined, elegant, and at the same time comfortable and welcoming environment, where you can relax after a long day. My apartment is strategically located in the immediate vicinity of the Metro Marconi: in a few minutes you will be in the city centre, but at the same time away from traffic and noise in an apartment building overlooking a tree-lined courtyard between the Tiber and the Eucalyptus Stadium.
My apartment is easily accessible both for those arriving from Fiumicino or Ciampino airports, and from the railway stations of Rome (Termini, Ostiense, etc.), and for those arriving by their own means (see below).
It is located on the fourth floor with lift, 5 rooms of 100 square metres renovated, equipped with every comfort, located in a quiet condominium, ideal for a holiday or a business trip.
In the vicinity of the apartment you will find restaurants such as Roman trattoria, pizzerias, Italian cuisine, Asian cuisine, pizza slices, bars, supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies, tobacconists, laundries, hairdressers, newsagents.
At 500 metres you will find the METRO Marconi station to reach the Colosseum and the city centre in a few minutes; at 10 metres the bus stop 23 for Trastevere-San Pietro; at 100 metres bus 170 to Piazza Venezia. With a pleasant walk you can reach the Basilica of San Paolo fuori le Mura, the Schuster Park, Viale Marconi (shopping street), the University Campus of Rome 3 and the Bambino Gesù Hospital.
The apartment has been designed in compliance with hygienic-sanitary standards, soundproofed, with quality materials and characterised by modern, vintage and ethnic furnishings.
Parquet wooden floor in the living / dining room, in the corridor and in the bedrooms.
    It has:
    • Large bright living / dining room with 5-seat corner sofa and bar cabinet, Yamaha / Bose stereo system, Knoll International 240x120 solid walnut table with 4 chairs, "Venini" Murano blown glass chandelier from the 70s, Full HD Led TV 40 inches with satellite receiver for foreign TV channels, 2 original 70s armchairs by Elsa & Nordahl Solheim. A 21 "iMac personal computer is available for Eucalyptus Resort guests
    • Bedroom 1 (Africa) with king size double bed or, optionally, with two single beds, wardrobe, desk. Possibility to add an extra bed. Small balcony and veranda equipped with washing machine, drying rack, ironing equipment and stationary bike (shared with bedroom 2). Portable or iPad workstation.
    • Bedroom 2 (Meditation) with King Size double bed, wardrobe, large bookcase and desk. Small balcony and veranda equipped with washing machine, drying rack, ironing equipment and stationary bike (shared with room 1), slide with Apple iMac 21 "computer.
    • Bathroom with sink, toilet, bidet, walk-in shower, whirlpool tub.
    • Fully equipped eat-in kitchen with table, 2 chairs, fridge / freezer, 5 burner stove, dishwasher, microwave oven, traditional fan oven, citrus juicer, coffee pod machine, traditional Italian MOKA coffee machines (3 or 5), all the necessary for cooking, dishes, glasses, goblets, cups, coffee cups, cutlery etc.
Air conditioning is present both in the living room and in the bedrooms, independent and central heating in winter, Wi-Fi connection.
Upon your arrival you will find my house cleaned professionally and at your disposal: bed linen and a set of 4 towels per guest; bathroom products (toilet paper, soap, shower gel and shampoo); the basic elements for the kitchen (sugar, salt, oil, vinegar and spices); fresh water, ice, coffee, tea and herbal teas and a personalised welcome gift.
A printed guide of the city and some small volumes with walking itineraries for the centre of Rome are available to advise you on what to visit and how to move in the Eternal City.

In the vicinity of the apartment you will find restaurants such as Roman trattoria, pizzerias, Italian cuisine, Asian cuisine, pizza slices, bars, supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies, laundries, hairdressers, newsagents.
At 500 metres from the METRO Marconi station to reach the Colosseum and the city centre in a few minutes; at 10 metres the bus stop 23 for Trastevere-San Pietro; at 100 metres bus 170 to Piazza Venezia. With a pleasant walk you can reach the Basilica of San Paolo fuori le Mura, the Schuster Park, Viale Marconi (shopping street), the University Campus of Rome 3 and Hospital B. Jesus.
At two Metro stops, less than 5 minutes, you will find yourself in Garbatella, one of the most unique and fascinating areas of Rome.
Thanks to the amenity of its foreshortenings and its essence of "country area", the particular mix that distinguishes it, a popular-rural aspect combined with different architectural influences, the Roman Baroque and rationalism-futurism, is what makes it one of the most singular and fascinating areas of Rome.
Add to this its vitality, perceptible not only by crossing it but also by the cultural ferment typical of the area: today it houses various culturally relevant centers such as the Ambra alla Garbatella theatre, the Palladium Theatre and more.
With three Metro stops you will be in Testaccio, the area loved by Pasolini and Ozpetek
The Rione Testaccio is a widespread museum: crossing it is a journey that embraces all eras, from the remains of the Imperial Rome emporium to the fascist palaces and the testimonies of industrial archaeology. It is one of the quarters of the Roman nightlife, historically gay friendly, a privileged location for the films of Pierpaolo Pasolini and Ferzan Ozpetek.
The name Testaccio derives from the 35-meter mountain on which it stands (the Testaceus, remains of shards, Testae in Latin, which compose it).
Free route - Pyramid of Cestius, Porta San Paolo, Aurelian Walls, fascist palaces, remains of the Roman Emporium, Piazza Santa Maria Liberatrice, New Market, Macro, Museum of Contemporary Art in the former Slaughterhouse, Bio Market, Gasometer, Monte dei Shards and "caves", Commonwealth Cemetery.
Path with paid entrance: Piramide Cestia, Archaeological Museum of Porta San Paolo, non-Catholic or poets' cemetery (tombs of Keates, Shelley, Gadda, Gramsci, Camilleri), Macro, Museum of Contemporary Art in the former Slaughterhouse, Centrale Montemartini dei Capitoline museums.
Also from the Piramide stop it is possible to take the connection with the train line to Ostia lido to spend a day at the beach or to admire the splendid Roman ruins of Ostia Antica.

The Eucalyptus Resort was amazing! So much thought has gone into the home. Carlo met us at the property and personally showed us around. He even left us a bottle of wine, milk, and water in addition to some goodies for breakfast! It was the perfect place to spend our last 3 days in Italy!

Carlo was a fantastic host. He met us in person and showed us round the flat and had some great recommendations including a great restaurant nearby which we went to. The location is near the St Paul Basilica and also a 10 min walk from a couple of metro stations. 15 minutes on the metro to the collesseum. Nice flat and especially nice lounge to relax in.

Ruhig, geräumig, gemütlich

Gemütliche und sehr geräumige Ferienwohnung. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Im 4. Stock mit Aufzug, aber der Aufzug ist etwas klein. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und engagiert und hat in der großen Hitze noch kurzfristig den Tausch einer defekten Klimaanlage möglich gemacht.
