Natalie and Walter's apartment is a wonderful two room apartment in an ideal location which is easy walking distance to the Coliseum and the Forum. At the other end of the street is the Basilica San Giovanni in Laterano. Both sites are in easy walking distance. This nicely appointed apartment on the second with two bedrooms, comfortable bed, two bathrooms with shower, though the one is a bit small, was very comfortable for my wife and I and a third traveling companion. It also comes with a washing machine and dishwasher. There's a nice sitting area and kitchen and the host were very gracious to ensure that there was good Wi-Fi as well as a cell phone that would enable us to reach them at any time if we had a problem. There is a bus stop right near the apartment's Street entrance and two wonderful places to eat within the block, Ristorante Isidor and Gelateria San Clemente, where we got our daily fix of gelato. You can also visit the Basilica St. Clementone, which is a must see and next to Isador. You will also find that your hosts will give you great detail on places to see, how to access transportation and even make a call on a reservation if you need. There are little stores close by to get drinks and items for meals. The Colosseum Metro stop is also close by. The apartment looks down on the street, but with the windows closed it is very quiet. However, the street is busy for cars, but is very safe for walking. We highly recommend that you consider this cozy retreat near iconic ruins when you next visit Rome.
