For first-time visitors to the Eternal City, this lodging and location felt like the “real deal”, in the heart of everything, walkable, spacious, private and smartly-appointed. We felt like locals right away
Our Hosts were very helpful, professional and Personable. The unit has a very old, charming look to it. A few items stove, outlets, trash disposal were a little quirky for us. The Bed was very comfortable. The unit could have been stocked a little better; however it was not a huge deal. I would recommend to anyone with mobility issues to take a close look at the photo of the tub it is quite a big step in and step out and could be a major problem the bottom of the tub that you would be showering in is very slippery as well. By far the biggest plus for us was the location. We were able to walk to all of the major attractions of Rome which was fantastic! We also felt "very safe" it the area the the apartment is located; which is a very big deal for us.
Fantastic apartment, perfect location, great restaurants and grocery close by
We loved staying here! It is absolutely a perfect location and accommodations for exploring Rome! We will come back here again. In fact, it was very difficult for us to leave! The Amazing Suite staff, Francesca, Antonella and Georgia, were amazing as well.. Gracie mille!
Delightful apartment on an historic building. Roomy and comfortable. And a roof deck! Immediately downstairs are many great restaurants (including Nonna Betta. Fried artichokes Jewish style. Anthony Bourdain-approved!). Classic street scenes. No cars allowed in the district. Walking distance to all the main sites. Would like to live there forever
We could not have been happier with our stay! The apartment itself is beautiful - from the bathroom to the furniture to the terrace. The location was perfect for exploring Rome’s historic center on foot. And the communication for check-in and check-out was also very smooth - the host is kind and very responsive.
This apartment is large and the terrace is delightful on cool morning or breezy evening. The hum of the restaurant customers accompanying the accordion player seems so Italian. The bed is nicely firm and the air conditioning worked well. Francesca was lovely to work with and we had a great stay.
This is a great apartment to stay in. It is well equipped, large with a private rooftop terrace with spectacular views of the City. Even though it is overlooking a main restaurant area it wasn’t noisy. This apartment is in easy distance of the major sites in Rome and only minutes from the river. The hosts were excellent and extremely helpful with any requests and questions that I had. Which they answered within minutes. I can definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay that is very special.
We had a great time in Rome and this apartment was the perfect place to come back to after checking out all the sights. We will try to stay here the next time we come back to Rome.
The unit was large with a nice view from the bedroom. It was very close to hop on hop off stop 5. So getting around was easy. It’s a short walk to two of our favorite places in Rome. campo de florio, plaza navona. There are some stairs to the elevator but it was not a problem.
Great location, restaurants, bakery, wine shop, groceries, and walk to most historic sites. Really enjoyed the private rooftop space.
Some concerns, 4 stories up and the elevator did not work for most of our stay. Furniture is old, and seems in need of cleaning.
Management was very responsive. Helped arrange tours and car transfer from airport. Meet us for an early check-in, and recommended nearby restaurants, etc.
We had a great honeymoon stay at this location in Rome. We enjoyed all of the amenities the place had to offer: full kitchen, large beds, large living space to relax after a busy day exploring Rome, also the washing machine was our saving grace. It’s difficult to find places in Europe with clothes washers, so this was a relief. If I was to give any ‘negative’ input on the stay, I’d say a shower stall would be a great investment, the giant bathtub seemed a little impractical to us. Overall, amazing stay- would stay here again and recommend to others!!
I chose this property as it is in one of my favorite areas of Rome. Staying in the Jewish Ghetto feels a bit like you are in a small village inside of a city surrounded, of course, by both ancient and more recent history.
The apartment building seems to have just one apartment on each floor for a total, I believe of 4 apartments and I was, as requested, on the top floor with a very large terrace as depicted in the photos.
The apartment photos are very accurate so, with respect to the rooms and amenities it is as described.
Staff was responsive to any questions I had and the once per week housekeeper was excellent, very thorough.
The one thing that may matter to some guests that I don’t believe is in the description is that, while there is an elevator, there is one flight of stairs up to reach the elevator and then another flight of stairs to the apartment door when you exit the elevator on the floor of the apartment. Inside this particular apartment unit that has the terrace, there is a flight of stairs up to the terrace and laundry room. These stairs are inside the unit.
I mention this for those who may have mobility issues and difficulty with stairs. I was fine with them but I hope it is helpful to know this.
The living room furniture is eclectic and the room is very large with two windows facing the street.
The bed was firm and perfect and I slept soundly and comfortably.
The street below is lined with restaurants and there is true pleasure in enjoying this unique small area which is just 3 minute walk to the Tiber River with Trastevere just on the other side after you walk over the bridge of the historic oldest hospital, on Isola Tiberina.
5 minutes walk to Campo de’Fiori with a vast open market where you can load up on fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, spices and is surrounded with various small specialty food shops.
The location is superb, most everywhere is walkable and there is nearby public transportation (trams, buses).
I felt 100% safe as I always do in Rome but even more here when returning late as restaurants are still bustling late into the night so I was never coming home to a quiet deserted street.
If you are not Italian, do be sure to be shown how to use the dishwasher, washing machine, intercom, TV, stove…it is all simple enough but each country has its own different styles and, of course, language.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
If you can book the one with terrace, don’t miss out!
