"Lovely property inside the city walls but away from the high traffic tourist areas. Well equipped with everything you need. Easy check in. We had a lovely visit in Volterra."

Le Macine, a wonderful ancient restored watermill with Pool
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely stay, good quality air con in bedrooms, Alex is a great host. Make sure you go to one of the meals he hosts because the food was divine. Good location to Volterra, property is right next to a road but gated. "
"We had a nice time and enjoyed the property. The pool was great. The A/C was only in three of the four bedrooms and not in the common areas. We made due without much of an issue but I wish that would have been more clear in the listing. "
"Hotel is traditional European style, beautiful wood, simple towels and bedding. Bathrooms impeccable, modern.
Dinner and breakfast excellent.
Location is excellent for touring Voltera. Note: Voltera is very hilly; the property is a walk uphill to the city center. Very convenient."
"The host, Francesco, was very responsive; the accommodation itself was clean although very dated; it was in a good location just inside the city walls. However, the description states that parking is available- I was sent a link to 4 separate public parking lots- 3 paid and 1 free- there was zero availability. I stated this to Francesco who adamantly told me to refer to the description stating parking is available but not a private lot- and as I previously stated, there was no parking available many times, in any of the lots. Just want others to be aware as I didn’t see this in any reviews and when I see that parking is available- whether public or private- I assume there will be a spot somewhere without having to drive around for over an hour and then walk a very good distance. "
