Perfect Fall Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time at SWR and picked a great weekend! Weather was beautiful and the fall colors were at their peak. The cabin was perfect for 6 adults and 2 kids. We really enjoyed our time. This was our 2nd visit to SWR and we plan to return again.

Family getaway

We had a fantastic time at the Sweet Williams Ridge cabin. My family was so impressed with this property. Lots of family time spent in the basement playing games and watching movies. And lots of marshmallows toasted around the fire every evening. The host was so easy to communicate with and very responsive when questions arose. We will definitely be staying at this property again.

Everything was great!! The property was beautiful and very clean. Make sure you follow the directions the owner sends though because GPS won’t get you there, but the directions are easy to follow.

Annual winter trip

Everything about the property is as good or better than the pictures. The communication with the hosts was very easy, and they were very accommodating. They even sent us links to the park service to let us know about the roads that are closed in the winter so we could plan our daily hikes. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing home with us!!

The cabin was great. Very spacious and could have add another family with us. Plenty of supplies. Bought fire wood but the wind was too high to safely have a fire. Close to trails and had the feeling of seclusion we wanted. Would absolutely stay again!!!

Our forest home!

This place far exceeded expectations! It was wonderful. The kids are referring to this as our forest home and we hope to come back many times in the future. It was the best, coziest experience. I don’t have one complaint!

Fantastic Red River Gorge getaway

This cabin was a fantastic stay close to Red River Gorge. It was a perfect get away for our friends who each have one small child. The cabin is spacious and comfortable and well stocked for cooking at home. There is also a great rec room / tv space downstairs that kept all the noise downstairs so if someone wanted quiet time, they could be upstairs. The cabin was easy to find following the instructions and the property owner was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Gorgeous!!

What a beautiful cabin! We have stayed at many different cabins in the area over the last few years and this is hands down our most favorite cabin!! So roomy, clean, and beautiful inside and out! We were only there for two nights and we did not want to leave. The beds are very cozy too! We hiked Suzanna’s Arch for the first time before we headed home which was beautiful too. Thank you for including that arch in the book. We will be back!

Girl's Get-a-way - Group Therapy

This large, private house; tucked into secluded nature, had everything our group needed for a very comfortable stay. Well stock with the most comfortable beds and thick thirsty towels I have ever had in a rental home. Thank you, Cathy, for your attention to detail and being so accommodating when we needed help lighting the lower-level fireplace. We also enjoyed the hot tub and swing chairs overlooking the property. It was so cool to see the large deer roaming through the property and all the stars in the clear sky at night. We all loved our stay!!!

Great Getaway In A Fantastic Property

Our third trip to Sweet Williams Ridge, its great every time no matter if its a guys weekend, couples, or families. The cabin is clean and comfortable with several amenities. Definitely with be back. Owner has good communication and helpful.My compliant is with booking through Evolve, nothing to do with the owner (Cathy) or VRBO. I had booked this property originally through the VRBO listing, was charged the original deposit and then Evolve said my card with declined. I tried to contact them to work through the matter and they were unresponsive then the ultimately cancelled my reservation. Then I rebooked, with the same card and it went through fine.

Wonderful stay and great location!

The property is nice, well maintained and clean. The instructions were clear and communication with the owners was great! We really enjoyed the extra amenities not listed such as hand soap in all of the bathrooms, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towel roll, dishwasher detergent, two TP rolls per bathroom, firewood, and charcoal, in addition to everything else they provided. You may want to bring: extra TP, tissues, storage container/ bags, napkins, and extra blankets. They did have some thin ones which worked fine. Also, if you plan on preparing a lot of meals bring bring a good kitchen knife, the ones there are pretty dull. The location was great and close to some of our favorite activities: Red River Gorge Zipline, The gorge Underground, Mill Creek Lake, and Natural Bridge Arch Trail. Some popular restaurants we enjoyed: Red River Rockhouse, Miguel's Pizza, and the Brick at Red River Gorge for icecream.
