"We had a great stay, primarily because of the bartender. He is very personable. We had only stopped in for an after dinner drink, and ended up closing tge place. 😆 He told us about a delicious sounding drink recipe that contained root beer. We happened to have some bottles of root beer with us that we had purchased at one of of the bourbon tours - we got them and brought them to the bar and he made the drinks which we then shared with other guests. In return, we shared with him a new drink we had created elsewhere that we named the Happy Traveler. I look forward to going back one day and hopefully seeing our drink on his menu. We would legit stay here again just to hang out at the bar. Otherwise, I would have given three stars because of the dinner experience. The staff there were very nice, but I ordered chicken and it came out raw. Had to send it back, they made it again, and it came out raw a second time. That’s actually why we went to the bar, to grab a drink and some bar snacks cuz I was hangry! lol "

"Beautiful cabin in a great location! My teens really appreciated the large upstairs room with its own bathroom. Hot tub was fantastic. Felt very private and off the beaten path, but also centralized with the best hikes just a short drive away. Highly recommend!"

"The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. The view is wonderful and parking is plentiful. The kitchen table was the best for cozy meals and family games. We loved the hot tub after a hike in the gorge. We will stay here again! "

"Cabin was clean and"Cozy"!!! We enjoyed our stay. We brought our own supply of fresh water and there is not a connected bathroom but there is a clean outhouse a few steps away from the cabin. There are trails around the property but we didnt get a chance to explore. We would definitely go back!"

"Great place. Kids loved it. Hiked up the road a bit from the house to a couple of caverns and up the hill above them. Went to the gorge underground. Was a really nice stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. It’s a great location. "
