The best time to go to Rodellar for climbing and outdoor activities is during the spring or autumn months.
For climbers, spring (April to June) offers pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, and generally stable weather conditions. The days are long enough for extensive climbing, and the surrounding natural park is lush and green. This period is also popular for canyoning and hiking as the water levels in the canyons are good but not too high, and the trails are dry.
Autumn (September to October) is another excellent period, with similar mild temperatures, usually between 10°C and 20°C, and fewer crowds than the peak summer months. The rock is often in prime condition after the summer heat, and the cooler air makes for comfortable climbing. The autumn colours in the Sierra de Guara Natural Park are also a beautiful bonus for hikers.
Summer (July and August) can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, which can make climbing uncomfortable during the day. While some north-facing crags offer shade, and canyoning is refreshing, it's generally not the preferred time for intense outdoor activities.
