Friends of the Hocking Hills

The lodge was even more beautiful in person than it was in the photos! There was plenty of space for our family of 13. We liked the location as it was a short drive to all the hiking trails. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice getaway

PERFECT FOR FAMILY TRIP

Such an amazingly beautiful place & location, exactly as pictured, for our recent family trip. Property was very clean & had everything we needed to have an enjoyable time making memories. Weather was not cooperative, on the two rainy days, we made use of the game room especially the shuffleboard table, and the ring game on the covered porch, alot of wildlife on property, which my grandsons enjoyed, we saw deer in the woods below from the porch & a turkey came up on the stairs to the sliding glass door on the wrap around porch. Thank you we absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Getaway!

Wonderful vacation. Quiet and relaxing and still close enough to a variety of activities. Cabin was beautiful and spacious with everything we needed.

Annual family getaway

16 family members got together for a few days. Close enough to all of the hocking hiking locations to enjoy them all. Cabin was beautiful and accommodating all.

Fantastic lodge in beautiful area

This property is great. It is exactly like the listing. We had eight adults and one toddler for our extended weekend vacation. The house is very spacious with a bathroom on each of the three floors. The wrap around porch was a fun place to hang out. We did a lot of hiking in Hocking Hills State Park. Depending on which area we went to it was a 15 to 30 minute drive. Highly recommend this property.

Perfect

Wonderful, comfortable cabin in the woods. Great views, wildlife to watch. We loved the outdoor fireplace and used it every night. Such a quiet place. All the comforts of home in a beautiful setting, close to all the hiking, lake, beach and town of Logan.

Perfect cabin for our family gathering. It's on a quiet cul de sac street and conveniently located to all hiking Hocking Hills has to offer. The covered wrap around porch and the fire pit were our daily gathering spots. We loved it!

Family 70th Bday/Reunion

Our family loved our stay at Redwood Lodge. It was great having space inside and out on the decks, to have fun, play, cook and eat together. Everyone enjoyed being able to come and stay together under one roof, all eleven of us! It was the perfect place to be for my 70th birthday celebration.

Family Christmas 2022

Another family Christmas in the books and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cabin! Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, very clean, plenty of towels and Sarah is quick to respond to all inquiries! We would definitely rent this cabin again!

Beautiful Cabin

We had a wonderful time at Redwood Lodge. The outdoor fireplace was awesome, as well as the hot tub, cornhole and fire pit! We were blessed with wonderful weather and hiked four beautiful trails over the two days we were there. We had a great time together- away from devices and screens!!!

Family get away

The house was beautiful, clean, dog & kid friendly. Further north than we usually stay so it was at least 30 minutes drive to major trails. LOVED the outdoor fireplace on the deck! Host was very easy to communicate with. Plenty of space for 8 couples and 2 kids.

Loved the Redwood Lodge

We recently stayed at this cabin with three families, and it was absolutely perfect for our group! The space was comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially loved the large covered porch where we spent a lot of time relaxing and watching the rain roll in — so peaceful. The hot tub was a big hit as well after long days of hiking.The location couldn’t have been better. It was super convenient to Cantwell Cliffs (just minutes away), and we were only about a 25-minute drive to other great hikes in the area. The owner was wonderful — when we had a small issue with the television, they responded quickly and replaced it with a new one the very next day.The only downside, as others have mentioned, was that the beds were a bit uncomfortable and very squeaky, which made for some restless nights. But overall, that wouldn’t stop us from coming back — we’d definitely book again for another getaway!

Room and fun!

We filled this house with kiddos and adults. Kids ran the deck and property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, fireplaces and time to hang out together, after spending hours exploring the beauty of Hocking Hills. Great space!

Pleasant stay with exception….

Beautiful property, fire pit nice, decking is large and relaxing for sure. Game area small but nice. Very nice place overall with these exceptions: creaky floors (loudly), uncomfortable beds, (very - loud as well) . Mold in dishwasher.

Favorite vacation for sure!

Twelve of us stayed in the cabin July 2024 including children, spouses, and grandchildren. Everything was perfect and as advertised. The family vacation is an annual tradition for many years and the best testimony comes from my 40 y.o. son. He wrote "Hey just wanted to shout out to say what a great time I had on vacation this year. Special shout out to Dad for picking that amazing cabin. This one will go down as one of my favorite vacations for sure." His younger siblings agreed. Thank you Sarah for sharing your amazing cabin with us. Blessings!

Great Getaway for Church Ladies

We stayed at the Redwood Lodge October 2023 for a church ladies getaway, Thursday through Saturday. Great accomodations with plenty of sleeping arrangements. For those with handicapped needs, the walk in shower on the first floor was great. Loved the open kitchen/dining/living room area. Had a great devotion time on the porch with the fireplace. Some used the hot tub in the evening and enjoyed it too. Would consider staying here again. Reasonably priced and close to hiking. Five of the women slept downstairs - grateful for the black out curtains and hardly heard anything going on upstairs. Thanks for a great location and fun time!
