Large Room, Clean

Needed a place to stay for the MX races. After looking at reviews I chose the Red Carpet. Very nice lady checked us in. Very large double queen room was reserved. Went to room, and had to turn on AC(no problem). We out and had a late dinner and room was cooled down when we got back. Shower had plenty of hot water for the next morning. If, you want a CLEAN, CHEAP place to stay this is it.

Railfest

I was going to Railfest in La Crosse and needed a place to stay between there and home, and also near a restaurant I enjoy. This hotel was convenient and clean. Would stay there again.

Nice economical and quiet lodging

I was pleasently surpised.! accomodations were basic however the room was extremely quiet withou loud door slams throught the night. Couldn't beat the pric for a few nights sleep for sure!

Decent and good parking

Room was very nice. Clean and quiet and cozy. Bed was fine and i like that we could open the windows. Only issue was that the checkin clerk went to charge again when we hadpaid through hotels.com check in took 20 minutes because of this. Parking was good. A little weird to get into at first.

The check in staff was extremely nice. The stairs and hall to the rooms definitely had odor and was extremely hot. The room was “ok”, but it was cheap. I’ve stayed at worse places for more. The “decor” in the room was very outdated….like it was furnished from a Goodwill store. The walls had places that I think were touched up with the wrong color paint or it was painted to cover up something else….not sure. The mattress sucked, but the pillows were top notch. Would I stay there again? Probably….as long as it isn’t more than I paid this time around.

This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On the first day, the carpet was poorly vacuumed, and the room was very stuffy. We were exhausted and decided to push through, but by the time we woke up, our noses were all stuffed (there is a family history of allergies). I was particularly affected, sneezing and coughing, and found it difficult to breathe. We had an appointment at Mayo, so we were pretty focused on that. We called the front desk later in the evening to inform them of what happened and asked if our room could be vacuumed. The woman at the front desk said the cleaning services were all gone. We then asked if we could get another room, and she said all of the rooms were the same and didn’t see the point in giving us another room. She also suggested we likely had a cold and caught it from somewhere else, dismissing the possibility of allergies. When we returned, we approached her again, and she eventually gave us a new room. In the new room, the refrigerator was not working. When I called her, she asked why I needed a refrigerator at that time of night since we were leaving the next day. After pointing out how inappropriate her question was, I explained that we had a lot of food that needed to be stored. She gave us instructions on pushing a reset button that we couldn’t find. She later came upstairs to connect the fridge and reset the button. When I expressed my disappointment with the service, she told me she wasn’t interested in what I had to say.
