Walnut Creek Ranch ~ A Unique Country Getaway For Couples And Families

The Homestead has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living and dining room, sun porch, and kitchen. The kitchen has three refrigerators, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, blender, pots and pans, ice maker, silver ware, and dishes. Two bedrooms have two sets of bunk beds. The other two bedrooms have queen beds and one of those bedroom's has a bunk bed. Sheets and towels are furnished.

This place is so unique with its charm. We wished we were not so busy in town and could have explored more around house. Beds were comfy, and you have not seen the stars like you can out here at this place. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is gorgeous! We held my son's wedding here and it couldnt have been more perfect. Kathi is an amazing host. She is extrememly nice and helpful. I wiuld highly recommend this property.

Great place to escape the noise and make memories!

We enjoyed our stay here! Four families gathered for "Cousin Camp" and although there were a few things that were unexpected it was a great time where we had lots of space and time together. There were wasps and dirt dobbers that some members of the family had a hard time adjusting to, but no one got stung and the property owner came out to greet us and check on us midway through our stay. It is quite the drive to get to this location, but we were able to enjoy crafts, pool time, and an epic water balloon battle! Thankful that this backdrop provided some great family memories!

Authentic Texas Ranch house Fun

My family visited Walnut Creek Ranch and had a wonderful time. Ms. Johnson met us and gave The grand tour and some history of the land. The house has a lovely historic western theme with tons of comfy beds. The kitchen was well equipped and the multiple fridges + icemaker were a dream! The ranch has a ton of outside space to enjoy with multiple games available. The tank is not equipped for people with mobility issues, but it was cold, clean and deep and perfect for a hot summer day.

Great Stay at Remote Ranch House!

Property owner was friendly and responsive to our requests. The house was clean overall and was well stocked for a successful getaway (pots, pans, towels, etc...). Air conditioner worked great as well. It is important to note that the cabin is about a 45 minute drive from San Angelo. So any excursions to town, you're looking at around an hour and a half of drive time getting to the activity and back. This is not a negative! Just something to note for your planning purposes and to make sure you are well stocked with food and other essentials so your time is not being used for anything other than enjoying your stay.

This place is a great cabin feel home has everything you need, it’s clean the kids had a blast while the adults enjoyed some relaxation you have it all to yourself a nobody to bother you we will definitely be back.

Its a hidden treasure

This is the PERFECT get away place if you like the country! The house is very clean, beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, and enough room for a BIG get together. The pool water was perfect for a HOT day! Definitely would recommend to anyone, specially if you are looking to have a family reunion. The host made us feel welcome, so much we invited her to join for dinner ;-) Already planning to book again.

2021 Angelo State Graduation

Kathi greeted us at the house and gave us the tour. She also left us with fresh ice and some wonderful sweets I would imagine she made from scratch. It is exactly like the pictures. This ranch house was perfect for our group of 12 and a baby for my daughter's college graduation celebration. We had everything we needed and all the privacy you can ask for. Tucked off the beaten path with no sounds of the city, just nature. We saw lots of widelife. The sunrise and sunsets are just beautiful. All the family loved it and we are talking about a return trip. Maybe with more people and use of the other cabins available on the property. Don't hesitate on this one, you will not be disappointed.

Everything was pretty great. Accommodated our needs. I had some miscommunications with the the owner, but she was understanding, had some wildlife issues but kinda to be expected in the location. I appreciated her laid back personality and being straight forward and helpful. Definitely a nice place. My husband loved it.
