The use of the garage was a major plus as we used the hotel as a base for motorbike trips. Breakfast out the terrace was a lovely way to start the day. Marie, who seemed to do everything in the hotel, was a constant reassuring presence and could not have been more welcoming or helpful."

8/10 Good

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Rix?
The best area to stay in Rix is within the village itself or in the immediately surrounding countryside for a peaceful and authentic experience.

Rix is a small, quiet village in Bourgogne, known for its picturesque setting and access to the region's culinary and wine offerings. The village centre is compact, with a few local shops and a church. Accommodation here often consists of charming guesthouses or renovated farmhouses, providing a comfortable base for exploring.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find Rix ideal. You can enjoy strolls through the village, visit local vineyards for wine tastings, and dine at excellent regional restaurants. The emphasis here is on relaxation and enjoying the beautiful French countryside.

For travellers interested in exploring the wider Bourgogne region, staying just outside the village in one of the nearby hamlets or a countryside hotel offers convenience. These locations often provide more space, privacy, and amenities like swimming pools, while still being a short drive from Rix and other great towns such as Chablis, famous for its white wines.
