"Clean room, friendly staff, nearby stores Especially the bartender I ordered my food from was very rude and she yelled at me in front of the customers. Just because I brought my food back and she gave me the wrong food that I didn’t order and didn’t want to give me the right order. "

"Unknown to all - this Resort is under major renovation ... since last JULY. It's now end of March.. I asked why no info on their website that is obvious and why Hotels.com website had zero info re this renovation. No restaurants (supposed to be 3); no Tiki Bar outside; No hot breakfast as promised as no restaurants (only given muffins, bagels, OJ, coffee only) . Disappointed,,, One building is open for guests....that is all at the moment. Urge one to make certain renovations are finished before booking."

"The lodge was near to the place where we booked our manatee experience. Breakfast was good and the restaurant served delicious sandwiches. A/C didn’t work. Our room was at the second floor and the building didn’t have elevator, so be aware if you have mobility issues or difficulties carrying luggage trough the stairs "

"Little outdated, mattress was very firm and pillows were small. But it was clean, quiet and friendly and was fine for an overnight stay."

"room had a small fridge and a large closet rod, would have been nice to have microwave access on property and a safe in the room and a set of drawers. rainfall shower was a bonus. location was good if you wanted to see the manatees which the area is known for (they were rare in march, suggest if you want to see them to go in december) and is less than two hour drive to orlando and tampa theme parks. weeki watchee and the mertailer aquarium are within a half hour drive as well as archeological and other state parks worth visiting to spend your days. definitely go to the ice cream place a two minute walk from the resort for their chubby mermaid."
