"Skønt sted, dog ligger det langt fra indkøbsmuligheder. Vil råde andre til at have enten bil eller andet køretøj. God restaurant med mange retter til fornuftige priser. Dejlig swimmingpool og værelser. Der lugter desværre af fisk en gang imellem, da der på modsatte side ligger en fiskerihavn. Meget venligt personale. "

"Very clean and comfortable. Feels like a new bungalow. Great water pressure. Comfortable Thai style bed. No breakfast available at the resort. Food is available from Thai carts and small seaside restaurants. 7-11 is a short walk away. Across the street is a long stretch or tree lined beach. The beach like many in Thailand has quite a bit of litter but the locals try to clean it up. You will need some sort of transportation if you’re planning to go to town. Traffic is light most of the time....

"This was a spontaneous trip to Koh Samet and found this gem on Expedia. I originally booked for one night but upon arrival I realized this was paradise so decided to stay for 2 nights The manager Knot was extremely helpful, polite and professional. He took great care of us and the entire stay was enjoyable. From the breakfast to the clean rooms to the views and more, this place should be on your bucket list. I will be back. "Been coming to Sai Kaew Resort for 16 years. It’s a great location with a very competent and friendly staff. There is major construction going on which we were unaware of. They also moved the breakfast buffet from the location next to the beach to another building which has no view. Finally the food inflation in Thailand is unbelievable and this applies to all tourist locations. It varies between 300 and 800 percent. Yes the numbers are correct. It is a sad development to what I consider the best vacation destination in the world. "

"Note the 'Garden Wing' section is a lovely modern & newer part of this hotel. Room was very spacious with a great layout. Hotel is just across the road from beach. The 'Ocean Wing' section is in a completely separate location on the other side of road approx 500m away which you can use their facilities also but in my opinion it looked a bit dated & run down in the areas surrounding the pool. The local town area is very quiet with not much to do within walking distance. It appears a more popular destination for local Thai families. The beach cleanliness was not up to the standard of many other resorts all over Thailand in my opinion."

"This was great option on Koh Samet. There are several room types. We stayed in a deluxe room. There were no chairs or bench in the room only a bed There was benches outside on the patio bpir something in the room would be better. Breakfast was very good. Deinks ..well the forgot to put the rum in out pina coladas and the bar would not bill everything at the bar to our room. We asked reception and they said we could have . I would prefer a few more tables with regular chairs on the beach. Getting up and down from a bean bag on the beach if you are older. One party used all the chairs both evenings ao non was available for our party. I would stay there again bit make some adjustments"
