I rnjoyed my stay, but having to carry my large suitcase up the front stairs was quite difficult. I did not drive to the hotel, I took an UBER, which dropped me snd my luggage off in front.

Great hotel, and great staff. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the connecting parking garage. Would have been nice to get a set price since we stayed at the Marriot. But that wasn’t the case. Got checked in, went out for dinner and paid $8 just to park for 2 hours. Then after check out, we stayed a few hours after. To have to pay $16.

Beautiful hotel if only I could actually enjoy the offerings. At arrival, the valet took a long time to get to me and was greeting cars out of order. After 10 minutes, I idled and unloaded my car then got in line at the valet stand to give them my keys. Check-in was fine, normal. The rooms are nice but I'm starting to see the wear and tear from staying over the past two year. Valet the next morning took 25 min to retrieve my car, even after me sending a text alert from when I was still in my room. They handed off my keys to each other, and I lined up at the stand to ask for my keys so I can get on with my day. The radio in my car was tuned to a station that is not in my presets (I had shut off the audio the night before bc I listen to Bluetooth) and the driver seat was sticky. Who the hell was hanging out in my car, especially when there is a long line at the valet? It made me really uncomfortable and I did self-park for the remainder of my stay. Nice gym, at least I got a good work out in. The bar at fall/line was slow. After 40 minutes of waiting for a wedge salad, I asked the bartender to cancel my order because, well, I need to get on with my day. Now, a week later, I'm seeing that I was charged on my incidentals card (personal card) as well as the pre-pay that was on my company card. So I get to take time out of my day to sort that out. This is my company's designated Richmond hotel but I'm going to get an exception so that I don't ever have to stay here again.

It was already snowing and we were expecting bad weather, so I arrived at 1:00 pm ahead of the check-in time of 4:00 pm. My room was ready; however, they charged my $30 plus tax as an early check-in fee that was charged to my private credit card. Felt that was totally ridiculous given the adverse weather! Other than that, my stay was good.

The restaurant had had a flood but the waiter did everything he could to provide a dinner for us. What I didn’t like was the loud and obnoxious music in the dining room and lobby and please get away from New York designers who only see sterile gray as the decor.

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. I liked that it was within walking distance to the Richmond Convention Center. There is a walkway from the parking garage to the convention center to avoid the weather elements.

This hotel was a blessing after a horrible experience earlier in the day. We booked our room last minute. The Valets and front desk staff were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on a holiday weekend. Highly recommend!

The neighbour seemed having party all night long, made us wake up a few times. We reached out to front desk but it was not resolved immediately. My friend’ room was on the same floor, further away from that party room. They also tried reaching front desk. We had very important event on the next day. This terrible stay made us very tired experience for that import event on the next day.

I always loved this hotel, it’s in the middle of downtown, lots of nearby parking options, restaurants, and entertainment. The didn’t disappoint. I already can’t wait until my next stay.

Nice location, but the hotel was incredibly noisy due to loud showers and elevators and poor construction that funneled hallway noise into rooms. There was no remote for the TV, and when we requested one, the desk staff said they'd send an 'engineer' up to handle the matter. No one ever showed up. The cleaning staff were working on rooms at 5:30am, and walked into our room despite the Privacy request posted on the door. The hotel also double billed us, sending two invoices for the same thing.

Not very welcoming. Arrived at 6pm and the lobby area is quite dark. The reception desk is not marked and hard to find in the dark. Desk staff could not read drivers license because it was so dark. Room was adequate.

I usually stay at the Marriott when in Richmond for shows at the National Theater since it's such a short walk up the block. The hotel and the area immediately around it are great. Start to get more than a few blocks away from the hotel toward downtown and some of the areas are a bit seedy so I will forewarn you if you want to wander around at night. It is definitely my go to place when in the area of the convention center or The National.

Bunch of kids were in town for some RVA thing. the hotel was full of teenagers running around, cutting lines and loud. it was a miserable time. had issues with room as well with stuff not working.

Overall the hotel is a nice hotel 4.5 star. The reason being 4.5 because of parking. Which is a minor thing for me personally. If you not validating or finding parking on the street which is 2 hour parking between 8am-4pm M-Sat. Parking in there parking lot or public parking lot is $25 in and out each time. Overall, my experience was excellent.
