We loved our visit to Richmond. Proximity to convention center was ideal for us - 6 block walk. Broad Street is a quick walk away. We highly recommend Tarrantā€™s restaurant. This home worked wonderfully for us. We did turn the heat way down to keep the bedrooms cooler so the supplied space heaters were much appreciated. If you are a light sleeper, I would suggest that you bring a box fan to drown out city noise. Host is very attentive. We will stay here again if we return!

Historic house in great location

This is a lovely home with the charm of years gone by and located in historic Jackson Ward. It is in easy walking distance from numerous restaurants, shops, and the contemporary art museum. The hostess was in regular communication with us to ensure we had a great stay.

Great Location and Cute House

We enjoyed our stay here. It was close walking distance to the VCU where we did a lot of our work that week. The house was clean with a lot of amenities and small comforts like toiletries and a parking space which made a huge difference. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Thank you!

A terrific homebase in Richmond!

My family certainly enjoyed our stay in Alveena's late 19th-century rowhouse that sits in one of the city's historic districts within easy walking distance to several cafes as well as the downtown city center. The house has been tastefully updated inside with modern amenities. The house is near a loud, busy street, so we found the sound machines in each bedroom particularly valuable to muffle the outside noise for our kids to sleep. There's a private parking spot in an alley behind the house with easy access through the courtyard. Enjoy your stay!

Charming Home with Original Features ā€“ Perfect for Work & Play!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home full of character and original details. While the photos show three different beds, there are actually two comfortable queen-sized beds. The dedicated office space was ideal for my husband to work during our stay. The location couldnā€™t have been betterā€”super convenient for our baseball tournament held across three different fields. Alveena was an exceptional hostess with super prompt responses, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches and extras she provided. Bonus: thereā€™s a full-sized hairdryer in the bathroom! Thank you for everything, Alveena!

Very Accommodating Host

Our host was very available and accommodating. The property was clean. Our only issue was the location. It was very close to all of our needs which was great. It was located on a very busy street and it was very loud throughout the nights. Lots of racing cars and motorcycles. There was also some police activity across the street, but that was not the fault of the property owners.

Fantastic rental!!

We stay in a number of rentals on our vacations, and this one was top notch with all the small things provided, paper towels/toilet paper/dish soap etc. Proximity to VCU Medical Center, and all the wonderful downtown areas is incredible. The host reached out a number of times checking in to see if we needed anything and hoping we were having a good stay. He was wonderful! The house had an incredible coziness to it and we all felt at home. The beds were comfortable. The towels were great. The shower and appliances worked great. We will absolutely go back and stay again. Also was so great to have the parking spaces!

Charming house

The property was clean and owner has put in a lot of work into updating the property. Itā€™s in Jackson Ward, so older area of town. It rained heavily while there and was a substantial leak in the closet in one of the bedrooms. Owner responded quickly and sent a crew to clean and assess the damage. Hopefully, everything will be fixed.

Amazing row house in historic Jackson Ward!

If you are looking for a unique property in a historic neighborhood this one is it. The house is exceptionally clean, well equipped, and has two large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. It is located at the edge of historic Jackson Ward and has easy access to the freeway as well as allowing for walking to VCU, museums, restaurants, and some shopping. The neighborhood is easy to navigate and we found everything we needed within a short distance. We stayed during a particularly hot week in Richmond and the a/c worked great keeping the house cool. The only downside is that the street can be noisy so be prepared for some traffic noise especially at night. We loved this amazing house and look forward to another visit.

So many cool things about the house. Charming, historic, amazing location, easy parking. It's evident they tried a nice, homey feel, lots of throw pillows and pictures on the walls. Well stocked: all paper goods, facial tissue, laundry pods, tons and tons of coffee pods for the Keurig machine. The A/C is excellent, works well and is much needed. A couple of things to note. No dishwasher and flatware service for 4 and no more. Initially, between two closets, there were 3 hangers. I went to Target and bought 14. Needed them because we were in Richmond for the speech and debate competition, so had to hang shirts, suits, etc.The pillows were thin, synthetic-filled, and not to my liking. I ended up purchasing a firm foam pillow from Target, where I also bought cotton sheets. The provided sheets were 50% polyester, which I did not find comfortable. The mattress itself was fine and met my expectations. The bathroom floor is old, discolored and molding around the floor is unfinished/not painted. Did not love this.
