Central Continental Hotel

"The morning desk person was very helpful but in the evening you have to wait for the staff to show up. There is luggage storage but it’s not secure and by the entrance so there is a sign not to store valuables. The foyer is beautiful sitting right across the lake. The hotel location is convenient as it’s a three minute walk from Interlakken West station with plenty of food nearby. The rooms are very old and could definitely use some modernization. The bathroom was old had the craziest water pressure I have ever experienced. I thought I was standing in front of a fire hydrant haha. There’s also a sign saying if you get lots of water on the floor there will be extra charge. All the outlets worked and it was clean though The breakfast had a lot more options than other places I have been so it was good. For one of the more expensive hotels I stayed at I found that the rooms and service were a bit sub par. But for just a night, I got in, I was safe and dry, I got fed and everything went smoothly! Not a bad stay for convenience."

"Everything was perfect! The hotel is in such a convenient spot accessible to a lot of public transportation! The breakfast buffet was extremely great! Also something that I would like to highlight “The staff was extremely nice and kind!” That is something I really appreciate as tourists!"

"Great location in heart of Interlaken walking distance from train station and shops/restaurant. Breakfast included. Bathrooms need updating, but bed comfortable and otherwise great room. Not fancy or luxurious, but clean and comfortable and great location. Made day trips to Jungfraujoch and Lauterbrunnen, which are both worth your time, but require full days. Wish we had done the paragliding big time and weather didn’t permit."

"Great place to stay. A short walk to some recommended restaurants and not far from the train station. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Kudos to Brune and John who we mainly dealt with. Brune helped with various enquires including booking the trip up the Jungfrau. Thoroughly recommend."
