Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Avana Fronte Mare. The staff were always kind and courteous, and we were kindly upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely touch and something we really appreciated.
There are, however, a few things future guests should know. The pool is not actually at the hotel; they have an agreement with a water park that is not particularly close on foot. There is no included beach access either, as the nearby private beaches are at an additional cost. The jacuzzi shown in the photos also requires an extra payment. Parking costs €18 per day.
Breakfast was OK and the location is convenient. Our suite was comfortable, although the outdoor chairs could have been cleaner, as there was quite a lot of pigeon residue.
If you use the kitchen, it must be left clean or there is a €30 surcharge. We are very clean travelers and actually left it cleaner than we found it. Guests are also asked to take their rubbish downstairs themselves, which we didn't mind.
My main suggestion would be to provide all this information clearly at check-in. It would help guests organize their stay and avoid surprises. Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay, appreciated the complimentary upgrade, and found the staff professional and welcoming.
