"Great hotel. Preferably take the ocean view, otherwise you have a view of an empty field. Centrally located, so it was easy to get to every corner of the island. That being said, there was nothing close by, so you need a car to go eat for example. "

"This hotel is phenomenal. I have stayed in many hotels, and I was genuinely impressed by this one. We stayed for three nights during the Furnas portion of our trip and enjoyed every second of it. Centrally located in Furnas, the hotel is within walking distance of numerous restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, bakery, and supermarket, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. We were checked in by Claudia, who was so friendly and even provided us with a plug adapter after we realized we had forgotten ours. I believe she also noticed it was my birthday, even though we never mentioned it, because on the day of check-in we received a surprise knock at our door: a complimentary bottle of champagne and glasses from the hotel. We were also treated to a special appetizer from the chef at dinner at no extra cost. These thoughtful touches were completely unexpected but made us feel truly appreciated as guests. If that is not enough to convince you to stay, the breakfast rotates daily and tastes amazing, and guests also have 24-hour access to the thermal pools and gardens. The property truly feels like an oasis. Although there is plenty to do in Furnas, you could easily spend your entire stay at the hotel and still have a marvelous time. We also booked spa massages during our stay and had a wonderful experience. The only thing I would change is booking this hotel for our entire and driving to excursions across island because this hotel truly felt like a home away from home!"

"Bien situé, belle vue sur la mer et nous entendions bien le bruits des vagues et la petite chute au bas de l'habitation, Endroit tranquille à proximité de tout, idéale pour la visite de l'île. Les lits (4) sont très confortables. Un lit queen, un double et 2 lits simples. Literie très propre. Cuisine bien équiper. Il manque seulement un pile patate pour les amateurs de patates pilées. Pas bien grave !"

"We stayed at Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort expecting a family-friendly experience, but it was completely unsuitable for traveling with a toddler. While I can see the appeal for adults seeking a quiet, remote retreat, there is very little for children to do. When the weather is poor—as it was during our stay—you are essentially stuck indoors with no meaningful activities. The layout adds to the difficulty. Rooms are located up a hill, requiring a golf cart to move luggage, which is inconvenient with a child. Safety was a constant concern: stone floors, steps, and design elements made it easy for a toddler to slip or get hurt. Even the reception had candles placed on the floor, which naturally attracted our child. Outdoors didn’t feel any safer. There are areas with minimal or no guardrails and proximity to cliffs, meaning constant vigilance is required at all times. It was stressful rather than relaxing. The bathroom condition was also disappointing. The one positive was the excellent food, but it did not make up for the overall experience. We ended up leaving after only a few hours to find a more suitable hotel, and despite not staying the majority of our booking, we were unable to recover any unused funds. In summary: a nice retreat for adults, but not appropriate for families with young children."
