"This is a gem in the cute little village in Alford. The staff, rooms, bar and restaurant were all great. Highly recommend this hotel."

Strathburn Hotel Inverurie by Compass Hospitality
Strathburn Hotel Inverurie by Compass Hospitality"Reception staff very nice and helpful, nothing to much bother . Room was well equipped regarding wardrobes and drawers . Nice and cosy . Unfortunately we were in a ground floor room and window did open but didn’t stay in position, improvised with the use of tying a scarf . Beds were comfortable, alas we usually strip beds in the morning on vacating room, , mattress cover badly stained , and next layer too , reluctant to go beyond this. Sheets , duvet etc lovely and clean so if we hadn’t...
"We had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. The room was particularly clean and comfortable and the shower was just amazing. The overall decor of the hotel is beautiful, with exceptional attention to detail. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was cooked to order and was excellent. "

Turned on the evening to be told they don't do evening meals, member of staff pointed to a microwave and toaster and referenced a shop that was closed to buy stuff. Next evening, a saturday, they were serving evening meals was told they did server evening meals. Whether they only seve meals at the weekend or short staffed I don't know."
