We had planned 4 nights but added another two. Stegna is well worth a visit with some excellent traditional greek restaurants. The Mediteranneo is well located at far end of the village with the beach across the road. The accommodation is very good value and everything is close at hand

Nice place to stay Stegna, with a beautiful sandy beach. The residence Meditarraneo is simple, but very clean and comfortable. Antonios, the manager, is a nice and helpful person. The residence has a supermarket with fresh bread and fruits. Walking distance from the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas and from all the restaurants/tavernas. Great for families.

La gentilissima Maria di Mediterraneo

L'hotel mediterraneo è in realtà composto da due strutture separate, di cui una chiamata apartments. Quest'ultima è di più recente realizzazione e sicuramente più confortevole perchè gli appartamenti sono spaziosi ed affacciano su una grande terrazza. Alcuni di essi sono monolocali con comodo letto matrimoniale e due letti a castello (che non ingombrano la stanza perchè posizionati in un angolo), altri sono bilocali per famiglie più numerose. Tutti dotati di cucinino e servizi indipendenti. La proprietaria, Maria, molto disponibile ed affettuosa, parla benissimo l'italiano e ci ha molto aiutato in occasione di un problema di salute che ha afflitto una nostra amica durante il soggiorno. La località di Stegna comprende una spiaggia di sabbia attrezzata con ombrelloni, lettini e docce molto economici (5 euro al giorno) ed è possibile cenare o pranzare in uno dei numerosi locali fronte mare esistenti oppure preparare un pranzetto in camera perche fornita di tutto il necessario. Inoltre si trova strategicamente al centro dell'isola e, da lì, è possibile effettuare escursioni sia verso il sud (Lindos, Prassonissi, etc.) o verso il nord (Rodi, Butterfly Valley, etc.). Lo consiglio sicuramente e ritorneremo presso Mediterraneo Apartments sperando di trovare libera la medesima camera.
