"Lovely hotel. We asked for a room away from traffic noise and were given a 4th floor room at rear of hotel. Not that noise would have been a problem as the hotel does not front onto a busy road as we thought it did. Breakfast was very good, service was excellent, short walk to river, short drive to beach, impressive individual styling on landing of each floor, comfy room with very firm mattress although softer pillows would have been better. Very good value. "

"Wow! What a truly amazing place to stay! Sure the resort is, in places, still being constructed but, unless you’re very picky, you really wouldn’t notice. And it’s such a lovely lovely place to visit - thoroughly recommended and we will be back! Gorgeous location and soooo quiet. We asked and the resort was 40% full but you’d never notice and we pretty much had the pool and sunloungers to ourselves each day. The pool was beautiful and very relaxing with a great bar took a nap in the sun! Walkable to the beach and amenities in 5-10mins. Easy free parking (I stayed in April/May but from 1st June to 1st September I was told that is when the parking is chargeable). If you want entertainment and a party destination, go to Albufeira. If you want a relaxed and chilled place, Monte Gordo is great and so is this hotel....

"We got the cheap studio with the sofa beds that dont have such great reviews. However, we turned them around and put them together to make a big bed. They were quite comfortable and the sheets and pillows were good quality. Very satisfied. The only issue was that there was no dish soap in the kitchen.
