"A truly lovely place to stay! One of the best hotel views EVER.
Very friendly staff, well-maintained and new rooms. And did I mention the views?
Fewer frills than some of the bigger properties in the Duoro, but peaceful, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended!"

"Our stay at Quinta da Estrada was simply wonderful. The vineyard property is gorgeous and the room was fabulous. We had the Loft - with an amazing outdoor patio offering panoramic views of the Quinta and surrounding landscape. We had dinner in their restaurant both nights, including the wine tasting dinner. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect place to stay for our first trip to the Douro Valley."

"If I could rate it a million stars, I would! This is the perfect, peaceful quiet Portuguese experience. We stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The staff were all so kind and helpful, the pool was the perfect cool temperature with plenty of lounge set for everyone, and the grounds were gorgeous. You can hear chickens and church bells, walked on the cobblestone, and it was very relaxing. There's even a little chapel that I degree not taking photographs of...

"It was a nice experience, the hotel was nice a little far but quite nice and the staff were very helpful and very kind all the time
Breakfast was good 😊"
"An unforgettable experience in the Douro Valley. The views from the property are simply stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special — personalized touches throughout made it feel like far more than just a hotel stay. The chef's dinner was a true highlight, and the wine tasting experience was expertly guided. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the more rural location means a bit more travel time to reach — but that's also part of what makes the Douro so peaceful and worth visiting. A beautiful, memorable stay we'd happily repeat."
"We have stayed at some amazing properties around the world and this one is our new favorite. Not only was the hotel property amazing but the hospitality was over the top! You absolutely have to add breakfast to your stay as it was a highlight of the experience."
"Our stay at Octant Douro was easily the highlight of our trip to Portugal. We absolutely loved the hotel’s tranquil and picturesque setting along the Douro River. Our room overlooked the river, and we often found ourselves sitting in silence, simply taking in the breathtaking scenery and peaceful surroundings.
The pool facilities were beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting for relaxation. The restaurants were outstanding, and the breakfast was excellent, offering a delicious and varied selection each morning.
What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making our stay all the more memorable.
Overall, we had an incredible experience and cannot recommend Octant Douro highly enough. We sincerely hope to return in the future and look forward to exploring some of Octant’s other properties throughout Portugal."
"The property is stunning!!! The views are indescribable - you have to see for yourself to really experience. Traveled with group of 6 - late 50s, early 60s (good physical shape overall)....I will say that there are TONS of steps to get anywhere and if you are unable to do a lot of steps (I mean TONS) - this is not the property for you. If you are able to do steps you have to see this place! One thing that I'll remember is Eduardo helping us check in saying "this is your home for your stay.....treat it as such and enjoy all that the property offers"......The snack bar is meh. The breakfast buffet more than satisfying...."
