Charming Restored Miner's House, Private Garden, Close to Amenities and Outdoor Activities
In the heart of slate country, stay in this charming, fully restored miner's cottage with spacious rooms. It features two enclosed gardens on either side, with a terrace and children's play area.
On the ground floor, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining room, a bathroom with shower, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: two with a double bed (140x190cm) and a third bedroom of 22m² with a double bed (140x190cm), a single bed (90x190cm), and a corner bed (120x180cm). There is also a shower room and a separate toilet. A children's play area is available. Full baby equipment is provided. Beds are made up on arrival.
For your outings, the Rincerie leisure park, 13km away, offers a beautiful lake with swimming, canoeing, a wake park, swin golf, fishing, and hiking. In Renazé, 3.5 km from the gîte, you'll find all shops, hiking trails, and a greenway for cyclists and hikers. Don't miss the slate museum. River fishing is available on the Chéran and Oudon rivers, and there's a pond nearby. In Craon, 12 km away, there's a water park with a swimming pool, outdoor water slides, a spa and sauna; a racecourse; horseback riding; and a 19th-century château with its grounds.
A little further afield, 24 km away, is Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne, known for the Refuge de l'Arche animal park, its marina (boat and bicycle rentals, etc.), and its gardens. It's the birthplace of the "Villes et Villages Fleuris" (Towns and Villages in Bloom) program in France.
