"What a wonderful location. My room exceeded expectations! Didn't expect a full kitchen and didn't use it as the food was so yummy at their restaurant. Truly can't say enough wonderful things. Only issue was mosquitoes, not their fault."

"My extended family had a wonderful week at On the Rocks. It had a cozy kitchen dining area with a deck/view to die for. Yet there was ample spaces for a large family to find some peaceful spaces . Somehow time became very slow and we all relaxed. Right next to Reid state park with great sandy beaches and tidal flats for clamming. While some of the windows didn't have screens there were plenty of others that did. The little things didn't matter- the view and the vibe was what made our stay."

"This cottage is outstanding! The location at the end of the point provides spectacular views! The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you might need. The location is ideal for sightseeing - Reid State Park is just a few minutes away with a fabulous beach! Darla was very attentive and helpful - the perfect host! We have stayed at a lot of vacation rentals in Maine, but this is our favorite!"

"The North Star was the cutest most homey cabin! We enjoyed movie nights and cooking fun dinners while playing card games at the island in the kitchen! We made so many memories and the house was very well kept and cozy! I would 100% stay again! Thank you for letting us stay!"

"We loved our experience on the island. Our hostess, Deb, was great and quick to respond. She made sure we had we were all set with our transportation to the island. Captain Jay was knowledgeable about the area. We had a friendly seal visitor everyday. The eagles and their babies were fun to watch and listen to. It’s peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need is there. You just have to bring food, water, and plenty of ice. The sunsets were gorgeous. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of light sources. There were more than enough batteries but we brought our own as instructed. We enjoyed exploring the paths and the flats when the tide was low. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to visit again."

"We rented this home for a Maine weekend family getaway. We had 6 adults and a baby. The house was beautiful. We all had enough space. We cooked dinner one night and the stove was great. It is on a secluded road, the kids up the street rode their go cart and minibike up and down the street which was okay. Walking down the street was pretty. The porch in back was beautiful. The spruce forest was so peaceful. The beach on the island was close and nice. No issues parking there. Close to Boothbay Harbor. We went to the Botanical Gardens - wonderful!"

"The house was very clean with a great kitchen with eat in dining and comfortable living room. The beds were firm but good, and really liked that the beds were made and plenty of towels and supplies at hand. Nice bathroom and great deck. And best of all was the access to the Newagen Resort’s swimming pool. This madesuch a difference for the kids who were there every day! Definitely recommend this home for rental!"

"This is the cozy Maine cottage of your dreams! Beautifully decorated without being fussy and the location is quiet and serene with the fabulous views of the cove from the screened in porch. We were 3 in our group and we fit perfectly. Drinking morning coffee each morning watching real lobstermen getting the traps ready for the day on the nearby wharf was a treat. You can walk to dinner or ice cream at the Five Islands Lobster Co at the end of the lane, but it closes at 7pm so the neighborhood is quiet at night. The views are incredible even when sitting in the living room or cooking in the kitchen. The parking spot is on a steep driveway at a sharp angle, so you need to be very careful while parking, but we got the hang of it quickly. There is no oven or washer/dryer, so plan accordingly, but we made our meals on the stove and there is a great microwave with an air fryer function. All of the coffee pods, soap and paper products were provided which was a nice touch. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage for an authentic slice of Maine living!"
