We really enjoyed the home and all its surroundings. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful and the size of the house was just perfect for our group. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed this home and property. Beautiful Red River right outside your door. Open the windows let the cool mountain air in and listen to the sound of the river.
Great family vacation. The hostess was very responsive and easy to work with. Thank you.
Family of 8 spent 6 days here in June 2025. Wonderful property that very comfortably accommodated our family of 8. Beautiful setting right on the river with tons of direct river access. Only about 5-10 minutes outside of town which made it very easy to go back and forth. So peaceful. Loved cracking open the doors and windows and hearing the sounds of the river. The little "island" in the river was fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and enjoy the sounds of nature and yet still have the convenience of town.
Last minute trip booked for a family ski trip! House was nice and in a great location! A few miles to town but not bad at all. House was stocked with everything we needed and Lindsay was available for all of our questions. Would definitely stay again!
Very nice home on the banks of the Red River - not many properties like this one. Significant river frontage - our children loved playing outdoors along the bank, on the island and in the water.
Great property! Just right for our group of 6 adults, 1 teen, 2 small children. The island in the river was great for smores, pictures, and relaxing. Lindsey was awesome. Responded very quickly to any question during and after booking and was easy to contact during our stay. Would definitely stay there again!
Nice home. Easy process on arrival. This home is about 1/2 mile off the main road so be sure you have a AWD SUV. Nice area I had a MB SUV and had no problem going down the road to this valley of homes
Enjoyed our stay
We met some family and friends to go ATVing in the mountains and had an excellent stay. The sound of the river next to the fire pit was our best part. Lindsey is a great communicator and very helpful. Highly recommend. Thanks!
Can’t beat the location. About 4 miles out of town and located right next to the Red River. Could listen to the running water 24 hours a day. Plenty of room, games, and toys for all the kids. The PingPong table in the Garage was a great extra and kept the kids entertained for many hours. We spent many hours outside on the decks, fishing & playing in the River, and enjoying the outdoor island in the River. A great family vacation.
Came up for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. There were 12 of us and we had the best time ever! My dad likes to cook so we ate every meal at the house and he was so happy that the house had everything he needed. Location was amazing with the river running right next to the house. We couldn't hv had a better time. Thanks for the memories!
This home is located in the most ideal setting with a creek rushing by right next to it which provided the mesmerizing sounds of water to fall asleep to every night. Kitchen has absolutely every utensil and supply you could want. And did I mention the HUGE televisions in the bedrooms? The boys had their own “man cave” in the downstairs bedroom/family room. Loved this home and would definitely recommend.
Enjoyable experience. Might update the online info as we expected two single beds downstairs (we had a large group). ...and we didn’t realize the only TP was on the rolls. Not good when you run out of tissue. Thanks.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Check in was easy and communication was excellent! The house is a little dated and definitely your standard "mountain cabin" construction. You can here all the stomping, talking, cooking, etc. After unpacking we noticed that things in the house had not been plugged in. The TVs were unplugged, and the refrigerator took about 16 hours to chill. I would say the overall cleanliness of the house was a 3.5 out of 5. The oven in the kitchen was dated and the oven light and timer did not work. The kitchen also has an odd set up with the sink and dishwasher being right next to each other where you have to lean over the open dishwasher to use the sink when washing dishes. Outside there are a few wooden railing that need to be more secure. The outside yard/grass had not been cut, but I noticed that there was not a home in the whole area with cut grass. We had trouble with the garage doors not opening/closing. We had to close them manually. Not a big deal, but I suggest making a note for future clients. The beds/furniture were very comfortable. Of course the biggest reason for staying was the river! We enjoyed staying right on the river and making campfires. Thank you so much!
My family of 5 adults and 7 children spent the week of Thanksgiving at this property. The property was clean and well kept. It was very well stocked too! It had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal (food processor, roasting pan, veggie peeler, crock pots, sharp knives, plenty of Pyrex dishes, etc). The loft was perfect for the older kids, and the basement was perfect for the younger ones. We used the fire pit for smores one afternoon, and it was a time to remember. What a wonderful setting on the little island with the river passing by just 5 feet away. The national forest is just across the street for the kids to explore. Just be mindful of crossing private property to gain access. We asked a homeowner across the street for permission.
Also, the housekeeper was nice enough to bring us a hair dryer when we couldn't find one at the house and also baked the kids cookies. Overall, I highly recommend this property. It is well thought out, well managed and a very unique stay.
We would have liked to use the gazebo but it wasn’t made clear the septic tanks were there. Horrible smell, made using gazebo not possible. The house could use a few more towels.
