The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Guest will receive emails prior to arrival date with directions and lock box code and pre-stay information.

The house was perfect for our girls weekend. Close to downtown so we could easily walk to the restaurants and shops. Check-in and check-out was seamless and communication with host was very good. Would stay there again.
Our family of 6 had a great stay--kids ages 4-12 loved the space. Location was great--very close to Main Street, and we saw several turkey and dear walking around, which was fun. Cute town of Red Lodge--would stay again!
The property was very comfortable for our family ski trip. The property offered plenty of space for ski equipment, travel bags, and our cooking needs. We all felt the property was well decorated and the furnishings were comfortable.
Loved everything about our stay. The house was perfect, had everything we needed for our short stay. Very clean! Comfortable beds. Perfect little house in Red Lodge!
Cute town, great place to stay! Comfy beds and linens! Super comfy sectional in the living room! Although we needed only 1 bedroom, very roomy throughout! Really appreciated being able to do laundry and grill out! Recommend!
This home was cozy, clean and had all the amenities for our stay. I had to prepare cupcakes for our daughter’s first birthday as well cook a full meal for the 5 adults and found the kitchen was well equipped to do so. The property is cute, and the turkeys and deer that lounged in the shade of the garage were a fun perk.
My adult daughter and I recently spent a week in Red Lodge to attend a family wedding. the VRBO accommodations were perfect! The kitchen was well provisioned, the house was easy walking distance to the great downtown area, and we were very comfortable and pleased with all aspects of the home. We hope to be back next year!
We liked this place and would definitely stay again. Even though there was no air conditioning, we were able to cool the place down in the evening. As mentioned in previous reviews, the floors were uneven, but we got used to it and we're very comfortable. Loved being able to walk to everything!
The house was so cute and had everything you needed to wash dishes or clothes. The toiletries were awesome samples from Lotions and Potions in town. We loved them so much that we went to store to buy the full-sized products. The house was close to the mountain for skiing. There were deer everywhere and the kids loved them. We had a great experience and loved West Bench Retreat!
Four friends enjoying a motorcycle adventure ride. Very roomy, no details overlooked including gas firepit for evening relaxation. Laundry, well equipped kitchen, and all the conveniences of home. Quiet, relaxing neighborhood and a few of the areas wildlife to entertain us. Deer, turkeys, etc.. A 5 star experience!
The house was really cute and a little quirky due to the sloping floors. They could be a problem for anyone who is unsteady on their feet. Property manager communicated regularly, instructions were timely and clear, and the location was great.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully remodeled home. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was furnished. We only had one issue and that was it needs more lighting in kitchen, dining room and living room. I know the issue is with limited outlets. We understand because we are remodeling our 110 year old and having to add outlets and wiring.
One other suggestion is to get the clear silicone strips that go between stove and wall and counter. I almost lost some hashbrowns down the crack. We have them and everyone asks where we purchased them. Amazon
Thank You for the wonderful stay and really enjoyed all the turkey and deer in the yard and peeking in the window! Loved It!
Comfortable, clean and convenient home in Red Lodge. Nicely appointed with everything we needed. Easy walk to town but very quiet location. Recommend for up to 2 couples or a small family.
The house was awesome. Very comfortable and well stocked with everything you needed. Close to town to walk to. Enjoyed the wildlife, deer were very friendly and the wild turkeys strutted around like they owned the place.
