About this property

The Hudson House, Country Colonial Retreat

  • This historic colonial revival style home sits on a serene property, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Red Boiling Springs. Perfect for a family retreat w/ a large park across the street. Just a short drive from local attractions, historic sites, nature trails, and eateries offering the best of Tennessee hospitality, only 80 mins from Nashville. After exploring, return to your country retreat and enjoy starlit nights, fresh air, and calming sounds of nature in this spacious and serene space.

The details: Our Colonial retreat home is 2,700 sq ft and all but one room of that is yours to use! We have one room w/ personal items locked downstairs. This space is perfect for a family retreat! There is a large park across the street with large gathering areas and so much room to play! Our retreat has 4 bedrooms upstairs with a central bathroom, and downstairs there is another full bathroom, plus 2 living room areas, a dining room, and a spacious kitchen. Our property spans 3 acres and there is a little home on the other side of the driveway with permanent renters who also look out for the property. There is plenty of parking, including a covered spot behind the house. All this green means lots of rain so it's nice to have a covered place to park while you get your groceries out! You are welcome to walk the hillside behind the house, I walk the hill instead of a stairmaster for a workout! It's serene, picturesque and all yours to enjoy during your stay! Are you planning an event? Ask about wedding packages!

Guests have use of the entire space minus one room downstairs where we store our personal items. All the spacious rooms you see in the pictures are yours to use! This spacious kitchen offers all the essentials, including a range, oven, fridge, and ample prep space. Start your day at the coffee bar, stocked with a coffee maker, mugs, and a variety of coffee and tea. Perfect for meal prep or a cozy breakfast! There are 4 bedrooms and one full bathroom upstairs, three bedrooms have queen beds and one has a full /double bed. The laundry room has a washer/dryer, sink, iron, ironing board and laundry supplies for your convenience! There's also a vacuum if you feel like tidying.

Stay in a piece of history! Our Colonial Revival Retreat is the former Hudson Boarding House! Built in 1905 and orginally a 17 room boarding house. Remodeled in 1961 and recently fully renovated! Red Boiling Springs is serene and beautiful. There is a large park right across the road from our house, with a creek, swings, a walking path, BBQs, picnic tables & more. Take a walk, play, relax, and enjoy! RBS has a fascinating history. It is well-known for the healing properties of the mineral waters. People came from all over the world (and still do) to partake of the healing waters. There is only ONE place that still has a functioning mineral bath, and that is the Armour's hotel, just down the street. I highly recommend that you book a bath and a session on their healing beds. Oh, and be sure to dine there, the food is sooo good!

Are you planning an event? A wedding? Bridal shower? Anniversary party? Just down the street is the Armour's hotel and I work with the owners (our good friends) to plan events. Ask me about planning your event at their lovely facility and renting our home to stay in or to use for your bridal party to get ready, etc. We can offer you a complete package with decor/florals/photography/food.
