"Outdated, and not reliable. I booked a room to share and specifically booked here because they had availability for two single beds in a room. The “single beds” were laid out as a queen bed with absolutely no space whatsoever to move the beds. Ended up having to sleep on the floor between the wardrobe and other pointless furniture taking the little space that was available. The bathroom fan wasn’t working and had been jammed with something, and there wasn’t even a hand towel in the bathroom. "

"We stayed in a standard double room, which was spacious, very clean, with a super comfortable bed! I slept like a log! The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a swim in the pool, which although small, was excellent for swimming lengths and was a nice temperature. We ate at the restaurant, which served pub grub and was very tasteful. So why not 5 stars? The toilet in the room was separate to the shower and bath, and also the sink. It would have been nice to have a little sink in the toilet, as in the night you had to feel around for 2 rooms! There was no room service at all. There was a page on the app but in the restaurant the server told us you'd have to order downstairs and take the food up yourself. Most concerning, the pool was unmanned. No one was in that area at all. We had to sign a waver form before using it, so don't use the pool on your own. There was a panic pull outside the sauna but if you had an accident or you needed help away from the pull cord, I'm not sure how long it would be before someone found you.Lastly, there is a small amount of parking on site but you need to phone in advance to book this at £21. Overall a lovely hotel and we would stay here again."

"Great staff and ideal dor the price. Only problem we had was someone came next to our door and slammed 2 doors at 2am and couldn't sleep for a while after. Other than that would recommend."

"The hotel itself was okay but the breakfast was terrible as was told we were last one down for breakfast and was offer eggs for a hit breakfast no coffee was avaliable as they didnt want to make another pot ."

"Nice hotel in a beautiful area, staff were polite but not very friendly. I did feel that I was being ripped off as the prices were top end and the quality wasn’t. DO NOT ask for a taxi, they organised a cab from central Reading that charged £40 for a 2 mile 10 minute journey at 3:30 in the afternoon!! Totally shocked at this."
