Rayong's nightlife is generally more relaxed than some of Thailand's larger cities, but you'll still find several areas offering evening entertainment. The most concentrated area for nightlife is along Hat Sai Kaew Beach on Koh Samet. Here, you'll find beachfront bars with fire shows and live music, especially around the central part of the beach. Many establishments offer outdoor seating directly on the sand, superb for enjoying a drink by the sea.Ban Phe, the mainland town where ferries depart for Koh Samet, has a more local feel. You'll find a scattering of simple pubs and karaoke bars, particularly along the main road leading to the pier. These spots are less tourist-oriented and offer a glimpse into local evening routines.Rayong City itself has a few areas with evening options. The main city centre and areas around Sukhumvit Road have some larger restaurants that often include live music or entertainment. There are also a few dedicated pubs and bars, though they are more spread out compared to Koh Samet.
