Motu is beautiful. It’s the most relaxing place I’ve ever been. Sitting on the sun lounges overlooking the lagoon, book in hand was bliss. The snorkelling in the lagoon was magical. The villas were stunning, and all the staff lovely. It’s a slice of paradise

This is a fantastic place to stay, Titikavika is one of the best beaches on Rarotonga and Motu Villas is perfectly placed to take advantage of the beach. The villas are lovely, so nice to see the display of art from Pasific artists, and have all that is required to be self contained, and I appreciated the complimentary food and drinks waiting in my villa. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Although there is no restaurant it is an easy walk to Charlie’s (the sashimi and ika mata are excellent)and Te Marie Gardens (the cheesecake is fabulous) and an easy drive to muri. Would definitely stay here again. Meitaki mata Motu Villas.

A little piece of paradise.
The Motu Beachfront was a little piece of Paradise. The setting and villas are marvellous and the hospitality of Lucille, Tony and Mii was beyond compare.

A special getaway
Fantastic property to spend our 25th anniversary at. Very relaxing and on a great beach. Tim and Lucille are fantastic managers as were all that worked there. If you are looking for a special getaway on Rorotonga..this is the place. Note...if you are staying on Raro for a while, I suggest a scooter or car to get around. We got around on the public bus and the free e-bikes at Royals Takituma. Fantastic property!

Rotake Takitumu was so amazing, the seating on the white sandy beach was breath taking. The room was clean and tge sraff were awesome. Very quite and relaxing.

We loved everything about the Royale takitumu! Staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. Great snorkeling Beach and great area to make use of the kayaks they provide. Definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful garden setting - not only very pretty but also peaceful. Loved the ocean view from villa #3. Really appreciated the help from Tim when our flight home was delayed. Would definitely here again!!

This place truly is a slice of paradise. Beautiful set up an in an amazing location. Snorkeling right out front is some of the best on the island. Awesome staff who are extremely helpful and friendly. Couldn't be better.

The Royale Takitumu is a great get away. Staff is super friendly, location is fantastic and the rooms are perfect. The only negative to the entire place is a lack of any restaurant facilities, however there is a fair amount around the area to make up for that. The beach and lagoon are very swimming friendly and great for just lying around. The hotel has paddleboards and kayaks so you can just lazy in a hammock or paddle around the lagoon all day long.

In saying that, I believe our guests also love the peace and exclusivity of the property without having outside diners visit the resort at every meal. But as you said, they are options within walking distance, restaurants with complimentary pickup/dropoff service, and the villas being equipped with a full kitchenette allows guests to prepare light meals in their room. Excellent place to stay!
Tim and Lucille and their team were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. We had a garden view Bure and really enjoyed it. We especially appreciated the kitchen and the ability to self cater. The pics don’t do the Bures justice, and a works program is under way lifting things to an even better level. The location is great with some dining options (Little Poly/Charlie’s) within walking distance and a little convenience store nearby. The snorkeling off the beach is some of the best on the island. We had a hire car for the first 3 days, and then used the clockwise/anti-clockwise bus thereafter, which was really good. Just wave it down and let the driver know where you want to go. This was the perfect place for our stay.

This is the perfect place to stay in Raro if you want great beach and snorkeling without the crowds. New managers are doing a fantastic job of updating the beautiful tropical garden setting. Amazing view and fantastic staying. We stay in the sea view villa. The view is amazing and unforgettable. The condition and comfort of this hotel is great. We did snorkeling and kayak in the lagoon in front of the villa. Quite convenience. The hotel is close to Muri beach and town.

Comfortable beachside cottages on paradise Island
Situated on a stunning beach with lovely view across lagoon. Mostly very peaceful although cottages are very close to each other Spacious, comfortable and well equipped A little more thought would make this resort even more enjoyable. A lovely pool and good sun beds but no shade Sun lounger cushions don't get put away at night so smell awful as local stray cats and dogs sleep on them Air con in bedroom but not lounge

Fantastic villas on the best part of the beach.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The villas are spacious and comfortable. The snorkelling straight off the beach is the best we have ever done.

Very friendly staff member welcomed USB. Lovely self contained villa very close to the beach. Hammocks and sun chairs on the beach were very comfortable. Breakfast pack lasted us three days! Fully self contained so could self-cater.

Fantastic villas in great part of the lagoon
Each villa is self-contained, clean and well presented. Location was good - beautiful part of the lagoon. Very quiet and relaxing, away from busy resorts with kids etc. Manager Mi'i was very helpful and friendly and the activities she organised, morning tea and pétanque, were a great and fun way to meet other visitors/tourists. Overall, we were extremely happy with our choice of accomodation.

Relaxing, tropical getaway
Great private villas in a beautiful part of Rarotonga. We stayed in the garden studio - a good option at a lower price than the beachfront villas but still only a few steps from Titikaveka Beach. There are lovely, landscaped gardens, and hammocks, kayaks and snorkelling gear are all provided. The owners and their cat Salvador were very hospitable. Royale Takitumu's excellent reputation is well deserved.

Boutique facility made up of individual villas
Loved the individual villas. We stayed in a "Honeymoon" villa, which was on the beachfront. There are also garden villas, that are only about 50m back, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them also. The whole complex is very well maintained & it was a pleasure to stay. The snorkelling within the reef right outside the complex was the best on the island! We appreciated staying here as it was away from the hustle & bustle. There is no restaurant onsite, but the 2 closest restaurants are well within walking distance. We bought a 10 ride bus pass & that was adequate for our 8 day stay, although we did walk a fair bit. (The walk into Muri took us an hour). I would recommend it to anyone.

Very Relaxing by the Beach
This is our second stay here. You are always warmly greeted and given a orientation. We had a honeymoon suite this time with a lovely view over the lagoon and right on the beach. We chose to rent a car and found it really useful for getting around the Island and especially for going to restaurants. It seems to us in some 10 years of coming here that the standard of restaurant has improved significantly and we have had some lovely meals. One highlight was unquestionably the Silver Sands restaurant in Muri. Their a la carte has changed to providing a number of smaller meals at half the price of a main with the thought that two of these would suit many people who might otherwise only have a main but they can be up sized if needed. The meals we had were outstanding, and we only wished we had found this out earlier as the menu had so many interesting options. The snorkeling straight outside the resort is very good indeed and compares well to the better options in other Pacific locations we have visited. There is nothing better than sipping a delightful New Zealand wine on a balmy evening overlooking the lagoon with the sand in your toes a few metres from your unit. We could even see the fish in the water from our unit on a still evening. It's worth noting that there is only one tv channel but if your intention is to get away from it all and relax that doesn't really matter! We love it here.
