"The Hillcrest appears to have been a motor inn long ago, but has been refurbished and refreshed with care and an eye for clean, modernized accommodations for customers. The primary colored chairs on the front walkway are cheery and welcoming as are the staff who are extremely friendly and helpful. "Beautiful rustic resort way back in the wilderness. A beautiful lake in your back yard. We hit it at the peak color season and it was wonderful. The young folk loved the kayaks and bond fires every night. We all had a great time and the host was terrific."

"We were lucky to host our very small wedding here with a few friends and family. The property is so pristine - absolutely beautiful with so much to explore just around the property. The lodge itself is very well stocked - kitchen is functional with quality cared for items. Beds were soooo comfy. We just loved the place and we thank you for the opportunity to create lasting memories here. "

"Beautiful property with everything you need. Everything was so comfortable and it felt like home. We took our

and really enjoyed everything about our stay, especially the private beach. I would recommend bringing groceries. There's a Dollar Store and a Circle K about 30 minutes away, but nothing any closer. We look forward to going back someday. "

"Beautiful spot and exactly how it was described. The solar power system worked great and lasted a while. The lake was peaceful and calm. The hosts were great and allowed privacy with a separate drive. Nice remote area. Great scenery, tranquil, and peaceful. Great place to stay and definitely would stay again. The hosts are easy to get ahold of and super helpful about the area and the cabin! "
