Great remote area. We loved the size of the house for all 10 of us. The house was stocked with all the essentials. It was quite a drive with the construction but for those that got car sick in our group it worked perfect. Hot tub was great to relax in. Had a blast visiting all the sites!
Property was amazing and so unique. Would stay there again if the intent is to relax and have family time. Dirt road was graded well and takes time to navigate but the wildlife was fun to see.
This is a wonderful older property that gives a perfect vibe of mountain living. The decor is so unique and makes you want to learn more about the area's history. The amenities, games and five decks were plentiful for six adults and three young children. Host Julie was very attentive. It's quiet and remote, which is a positive unless there's highway construction and it extends your travel time to attractions, and that was just our luck. Highly recommend if you want a tranquil, unique property that offers better value than the others we've tried.
3 couples stayed, and we had a wonderful time. did some side-by-side riding, and back to the cabin every evening for dinner and so watch football.
Everything was as stated, and more. Kitchen and bathrooms were well supplied. Very comfortable surroundings. We would definitely stay here again!
The property was excellent for our needs! We took our grandchildren on a trip since they live in different states and are young enough to have time in their schedules. We took them to several sites in the area during the day and ate with their parents for breakfast and dinner. We all could go our own way during the day! It was a fabulous vacation!
Amazing property! There was plenty of space for our 5 girls and us to spread out. We loved the hot tub, nice big kitchen for cooking dinners & breakfasts and many decks to relax on. The drive up the hill took a little long but that would be our only complaint. The kids had fun with games, PlayStation and foosball - a bonus to have those things already there and ready for them. We’d definitely stay here again!
Great location. Property has been well maintained. Enjoyed the secluded area. Appreciated the personal touches and decorations. Central location made for easy access to surrounding attractions.
We were boating and fishing at Lake Pactola most of the week. The house was just a few miles from the Lake, which is very beautiful. The house is also close to most area attractions.
The house had everything we needed and was a very relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day.
We had 6 adults and two kids and we all had plenty of space.
Very nice home in a beautiful mountain setting!
The house had some gorgeous views. It is on the top so it is a big pull with any trailer. We had side by side RZRs so we had to park down at the bottom where you check in and load a vehicle to ride and drive to the top. We hit some amazing trails from there.
A quiet, spacious property. The loft is great, but as expected with a loft, very open so if people are sleeping in the loft don't expect to be able to be in the dining/living room area. The basement also has a nice gathering space. Hot tub felt great after all our walking/hiking. Good amount of towels (I write that because we've stayed places were they only provide the bare minimum).
We loved our stay at Great for large groups/families (mention we had 10), privacy for up to 4 couples. And a great loft for kids. Nice and remote for quiet mornings, evenings, also 30-40 min drive to most touristy locations if that’s your jam. Well stocked kitchen for bags, dishes and some spices), but had to dig for cooking
supplies for large groups (crock pots, large pots for boiling, bowls for mixing, but did find enough to get buy). Bonus find, extra fridge in the garage! Hot tub great and was used every night. could have used more toilet paper. It was definitely a beautiful, serene place to stay! Would definitely go again.
Beautiful drive up to the cabin. Brought family friends for their first to time to the area and they were able to experience The Black Hill in the best way possible. Access to the garage with a extra fridge/freeze (Thumbs UP). Kitchen stocked with all the cooking accessories needed. Bathrooms roomy and clean. Loved the lofted second floor with 3twins and a couch (KID ZONE)! Extra large dining table for supper gatherings. Would have liked to have a table table outside to eat on; but each deck offered side tables and comfortable seating. Basement was great for the kids offering the game room and deck to the hot tub! Heads up for those that travel with a trailer; entrance into the driveway was very tight w/ almost 90° turn. Recommend backing in the driveway! Any vehicles outside the neighbor house at the front of driveway could block your turning ability. They were very nice and moved the vehicle so we were able to back in.
Loved our stay, can’t wait until next year.
