Deer Meadow Lodge ~ 'The Heart of the Black Hills'. Located just 20 miles from Deadwood, Mt. Rushmore and Rapid City. At Deer Meadow you can 4-wheel, hike or cross-country ski right from the front door. Snowmobile trails with in 10 miles from the lodge. Pack your tackle/poles because your close to some of the best stream fishing or lake fishing.

If you're into biking the Mickelson trail is less than 8 miles away! If you're into gambling Deadwood is only 18 miles to the north on hwy 385 with cab service. Spacious Kitchen with all the utensils you'll ever need and more! Dining table sits 6 plus breakfast bar for 4! You'll relish the nice yard, large wrap around deck and outdoor hot tub.

Deer Meadow is perfect for a family vacation, business trips, hunting excursions or the Sturgis Rally with privacy! This place is also great for touring the hills because you're in the middle of all the attractions and it will save you time seeing everything! We look forward to your stay!! Your less than 20 miles to rent snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, and bikes for the Mickelsen trail. It is only 20 miles to Rapid City for shopping, golf courses, groceries, and etc. Mount Rushmore/Crazy Horse is only 25-30 miles. Several caves in the hills to tour. Less than 6 miles to chuck wagon dinner/ show. Lake Pactola is only 8 miles away that offers fishing, boat rentals and water skiing. Jon Crane gallery in Hill City is 20 miles. Rochford is 10 miles 'Moonshine Gulch Saloon/Small of America'. Spearfish canyon is 30 miles. Fishing: Lake Pactola is about 8 miles with boat rentals. Sheridan Lake is about 15 miles. Deerfield Lake is 20 miles. They all have great fishing. Stream fishing is only 6 miles from the lodge.

Grand property

The house was very spacious, everything we needed and more. Watched the deer in the back yard most mornings and the hot tub was fantastic. Nice location as our base to explore the Black Hills and surrounding areas. Will definitely rent here again in the future!

Great Outdoors Cabin

Cabin is amazingly decorated and prepared for your great outdoor getaway. Perfect for the family or your outdoor buddies to share. We would rent this cabin again if it's available the next time we're in the area. It was perfect.

4 days in the Badlands

We had a great stay, house was exactly as described. Pretty good location in between all the major sites you want to see. If we ever make it back to SD we would definitely stay here again. Very peaceful.

Motorcycle trip

Traveled on motorcycles and the gravel road was in great condition. Utilized the garage for parking which was nice as it rained later at night. Plenty of deck space for relaxing at the end of the day. Inside was comfortable and provided us with all our needs.

Excellent Cabin

Some friends and I were looking for a cabin in the Black Hills for a recent dirt biking trip. Mike's place had everything we could have asked for. This was my first time every using VRBO and Mike made it very easy to get it all worked out. If you're looking for a nice getaway, this is the place to go.

As advertised! Wonderful property.

We really enjoyed the stay at this property. Highlights included the hot tub and fireplace, but we also appreciated that there was plenty of space for six of us. Instructions were detailed and thorough. There were games and movies there for entertainment. The kitchen had everything we needed and the pictures and decor were fun to browse. Thank you, Dresslers!

Beautiful cabin inside and out!! Easy to find and close to everything we needed!

This is the ONLY place we would ever stay in the hills! Centrally located to everything you would want to see on vacation. Nice to have the garage as we were in a thunderstorm watch while visiting. A quiet area, so it was nice to relax in a quiet environment. Renter of this property is on top of everything, and wants to make sure you have everything you need for your stay and is wonderful to work with. Truly an amazing cabin and wonderful stay!

Black Hills Family Trip

Deer Meadow Lodge is a great cabin in a wonderful area. The cabin itself is spacious and very clean and had plenty of room for all of us. The decor was super cool and the place just felt like home. The large deck was a perfect place to have our morning coffee and all of our meals. Check in was easy and the owner called our first night to see how everything was going. We greatly appreciated the use of the garage to store both our vehicles in at night. Great Cabin, we will definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful!

The setting is beautiful and centrally located for everywhere we wanted to go. Plenty of room for 3 couples. The ability to garage your vehicles is a plus since we had hail one day. Jumping in the hot tub after showering off the dust of a long day riding ATVs is another plus. We obviously love this house since it's our 3rd time renting it!

Weekend Getaway

My family and I spent a quick weekend getaway at Deer Meadow Lodge. We had a wonderful time and Mike was very easy to work with. The cabin is very cozy and was perfect for our needs! I have teenage boys who enjoyed the hot tub. We all enjoyed gathering around the fireplace in the evening. It was just what our family needed! Thanks Mike!

Loved our stay at Deer Meadow Lodge

Deer Meadow Lodge is the perfect place to stay while vacationing in the Black Hills! Mike was easily available for any additional questions or needs. He was great at communicating and checking in on us. You can't beat the location of the cabin as it is very centralized to all the main sights and attractions. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, just as described in the listing. We loved the peaceful setting and enjoyed the hot tub every evening after returning from a full day of fun! We hope to return to Deer Meadow Lodge someday!

Fabulously Peaceful

If you like the quietness of the country with lots of trees and the beautiful sounds of birds and animals, this is definitely the place for you. It was exactly what I needed for the end of our vacation. Pleasantly located between all the stuff we wanted to do. Absolutely serene. I loved how quiet it was, I could sit out on the patio for hours. The house had lots of extra pillows for comfort and space to lounge, the hot tub was wonderful, I just had an absolutely amazing time. I would definitely stay here again. The property owner is very communicative if you have any questions during your stay and left lots of information about things to do. It was great!! 😍

Beautiful home in the Hills!

This home was a perfect location for visiting all the sights! We saw Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer State Park and the Badlands along with some other Storybook Island Park & Bear Country USA. House was clean, spacious, and our kids loved all the animals on the walls! The owner was very helpful with any questions we had. We are big water drinkers and the iron was pretty strong from the sink but we just picked up some gallons to have at the house. Yard was nice and big to play corn hole and we even had whiffle ball games in front yard. My daughter brought her scooter to ride in driveway too. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Clean and well taken care of cabin

During our stay, we did a lot of sight seeing but couldn't wait to get back to the cabin at the end of the day, to relax in the hot tub and just enjoy the beautiful black hills backyard. We loved the scenic drive from the cabin to and from attraction areas such as Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, etc. It never got old! Lake Pactola is about a 10 minute drive from the Cabin. There are several walking trails and it is just gorgeous - worth checking out. Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with. There is wireless internet however usage is limited due to the amount of high speed storage/serviceability from the satellite provider. This cabin is in a secluded location but there are multiple cabins/neighbors nearby, within visual distance. During our stay we did not have any problems/issues with neighbors. It is just worth noting for those who are seeking a much more private stay.
