This was a good place for us to crash for a night - however it was quite busy trying to use the kitchen, even later at night. So you have to be up for sharing. Otherwise no issues. The bathrooms were quite wet because so many folks were showering and using them but they were nice overall and we never had to wait long to use them.

This property was excellent. It was very clean, large great windows, excellent kitchen, nice dining table, and perfect leisure space. I also LOVED the heated floor area in the kitchen and bathroom. Perfect place to stay while touring Iceland.

Clean but we had a very small room for three people. Large kitchen and family room. Shared bathroom was not a problem -2 or 3 bathrooms. Location is a bit isolated but on a major road. There is a restaurant close by.

This was our first time staying at a Guesthouse and can say it was a positive experience. The place was clean and you have access to a communal kitchen. The rooms were quiet and the bed was comfy. They had blackout blinds but the 2" gap between them make them less effective. Everyone seemed to respect each others' space. We were hesitant about sharing bathrooms but it was no big deal. It would be nice to have an extra towel or two, and a place to hang them in the room. Also, you have to use individual hand drying towels in the shared bathroom which is fine but that stack ran out very quickly.

Highly recommend

Superb guesthouse. The outside does not look great but inside its comfortable, clean and sufficient bathrooms for guests. Key is collected from restaurant across road. Wifi worked well. The only thing i would have liked is a freezer as well as a fridge. Parking is just outside.

The treasure is inside ;-)

When we arrived we found a really old kind of house. But when we got inside it was sooo beautiful, modern and lovely. The sleeping rooms are very small but the kitchen an living area is WOW!

Country Farm Guesthouse worth the Stay

You pull up and don’t expect much. The scenery around a very plain exterior is amazing, at the foot of a mountain surrounded by a country farm. Then you go in and are greeted by a very modern and comfortable home. The room was roomy and clean. First time with communal bathroom and kitchen was an adjustment but fine. And the family owns the incredible restaurant across the road as well.

The guest house is right by Route 1, so it's very noisy. People kept coming in and out and cooked in the common kitchen late, so it was impossible to sleep for a while. But the owners made the guest house really well, modern and welcoming.

Felt like a kid again

Definitely quaint and utilitarian. We ended up with a small room with a bunkbed and we are 66/72 yrs. Not a problem though we laughed at the whole prospect of who would be on top!! The common area was spacious and the people sharing were all friendly. There were friendly horses in the side paddock and the restaurant was very close. Overall for an overnight it was adequate and definitely a memory maker...

Guesthouse a recommander

Guesthouse tres propre et bien entretenue. Au depart, je ne voulais pas partager de salle de bains, mais avec les 3 salles de bain pour 6 chambres, aucun souci et elles sont tres propres. Quelques petits bemols : le chauffage reglé a fond. Et manque un peu de produits de base a la cuisine : huile /vinaigre / poivre, mais l’avantage est que nous pouvpns emprunter aux voisins de chambre. Le propriétaire tient le restaurant en fave, et fait entièrement confiance. Il est disponible au besoin. A recommander pour ceux qui cherchent une guedthouse a petite taille, notamment pour une 1ere expérience comme nous.
