"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Riu Paraiso in Lanzarote. The hotel has a fantastic location, on the beach front and promomenade and just a 10-15 min stroll into the bustiling town of Puerto Del Carman. The hotel suits all, whether it be couples and families and wehter you want a quiet or action packed holiday - the hotel has two sections with the quieter area very much more catered for adults wanting to simply relax. The entertainment both day and night is of a good standard and we particularly enjoyed the vening where you could watch a vareity of shows in the main theatre or watch live music singers in the bar area. The staff and cleanliness i cannot fault at all, an exceptional service and we were very lucky to have a free upgrade to a premium room giving us a pool and wonderful sea view. We would definitely return."

"Very clean hotel and staff were really nice but here are the bad things that I feel people should know don’t get me wrong this is my opinion and we all are all different. The hotel rooms need an upgrade as very dated and old inside and the beds are quite springy. The food I personally felt could have been hotter as with a buffet you don’t know how long things are sitting out and then just getting warm and then it can become quite rubbery when eating certain things. With the drinks it is okay but again should be more clearer to what actually is included and what’s exempt. But as I said this is just my opinion and you can’t get everything right."

"The Gardens are beautiful with lush greenery, many water features and a back door onto the promenade, a Mini Golf area, several swimming pools, fish pond, a couple of cafes and a multitude of sun loungers. you are bound to feel relaxed in such salubrious surrounds"

"Great location for us about a 7 minute walk to the strip and beach. Also the bus stop is outside for airport etc. Room very spacious for 2, recently updated and clean. Plenty for wardrobe space and room for toiletries in the bathroom. All rooms well lit and bright. Kitchen has enough equipment to make light meals and breakfast with a good size fridge freezer. Patio space private, large and great sun trap. Downsides and this was our mistake not reading the t&cs but the bedding and towels are changed every 7 days, we did have to ask for fresh during out stay. Being picky the roof lights do offer great natural light but could do with a clean. The safe is awkward to get to and requires a key rather than a keypad - which I would prefer. Overall very quiet, self contained units. Reception is part time but contactable via email and when needed great service and very polite, in fact all the staff cleaners gardeners etc all polite."

"We loved our stay at David & June’s villa which is in a small quiet complex. Perfect location for shops, bars and restaurants.It’s a real home from home which is equipped with everything you might need and the air fryer was a real bonus! Very comfortable furnishings and lovely comfy bed. The patio area is a great sun trap and lots of privacy. Communication with David was excellent with queries responded to very quickly. Will definitely be booking another visit soon."
