Host was very responsive and helpful. Great place, location not the best.
My friends and I traveled here for a hockey game. It was about a 15min Uber to the stadium and the neighborhood is central to other popular attractions. The house was clean and had ample space for 4 people.
We had a lovely stay. The hosts were extremely accomodating allowing us to check-in a little early. Upon arrival, we found the heat was broken and the hosts immeadiately responded dropping off multiple space heaters and sending a technician to fix it at once! They were so kind! The space was wonderful and within walking distance to downtown and many awesome resturants.
This home was clean, welcoming, and beautifully updated. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We needed to be close to downtown, and this was a good location. The neighboring homes appear to be in the process of being updated, and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay. The furnishings were cute and comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed walking to the local food hall for dinner, which had many choices for food/drink. The location was convenient to NC State, downtown, and other cool places such as the State Farm market. Communication with house owner was good and accurate.
I rented this place to assist my son after his total hip surgery. The location was great. All rooms were on the first floor. My daughter-in-law, her two kids(teenagers) and their dog came for Thanksgiving dinner. The only complaint was the dishwasher was broken, so we had to wash everything by hand!
My family had a great overnight stay within walking distance to downtown.
Great customer service! Sam sent over a wine opener within an hour! Which wasn’t necessary but we appreciated it nonetheless. Cheers
What a charming and beautifully decorated home. My daughter and I came to attend a concert in Downtown Raleigh. This home was less than a mile from the venue and a wonderful park and cafe for breakfast. The property managers were responsive and communicated quickly. I will definitely come back!

A place to stay
The property was quaint and clean. The beds were clean- just not that comfortable.
The only issue I had was the location. For a temporary rental / crash pad… this place is fine. But, the properties around were dilapidated. I don’t think I would feel comfortable walking around much in this neighborhood and wouldn’t recommend for couples or families on vacation.
The place was fine for my business trip-
A friend and I needed a place to stay for a concert in Raleigh, and we could not have gotten luckier with Local House. It had easy access to Raleigh’s amenities (a mile or less) and the venue. Great rate and communication with the owners. Would highly recommend when stopping through Raleigh.
We had a girls night out in Raleigh and this house was perfect. Extremely accommodating host. Plenty of parking and very clean. We would definitely rent this home again.
The house was super cute! The neighborhood was a little tricky to find at first, we passed the street but we liked the location. Some of the neighbors had a small party down the street, other than that, wonderful.
Beautiful home well stocked with amenities. Location was so convenient. Walkable neighborhood took my kids to the park. Neighbor across the street. Very friendly and people along the street were kind too. Will definitely be coming back .
Overall, the house is quite lovely. They did a wonderful job fixing up the inside. We were in for a volleyball tournament and it was exactly what we needed in terms of space and cleanliness. It was close to the transfer food court, which was convenient and close to the Richmond Convention Center. We were a little taken aback at first by the neighborhood, however it ended up being a great place to stay without issues.
The owner has taken care of thinking of every detail. Nicely furnished, super clean and had all the amenities. I appreciated the coffee maker, kcup pods and creamer provided. Even had laundry detergent. My dog loved the fenced in yard. For those who commented on the neighborhood, yes the street itself where the house is located is worn down but if you go to the next street its new houses and apartments. Downtown is walking distance and there is even a park nearby.

Surprising location
The owners were very communicative about a pricing discrepancy from the VRBO listing and what was charged, and the issue was easily resolved. The house came with linens and towels, which was a nice perk. Upon arriving at the house, we were surprised by the surrounding houses on the block. While the listing stated the house was in a diverse neighborhood, the block where this is located is not a location I would have picked due to potential safety concerns from the neighboring homes. While the neighbors did keep to themselves, this is not a family friendly block to stay on. The inside of the house is nice and the owners clearly took a lot of effort to restore the interior. The dishwasher is in need of repair, the mattresses are not comfortable, and practically all of the door handles felt as though they were falling off the door.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was so nice and very clean on the inside! Check in was very easy also! Anytime we had an issue, the owner responded very quickly, which was nice !!
My only complaints would be that we did not feel the most safe there. The neighborhood is not the best! One of the girls had a neighbor be very rude to her and the other neighbors were partying pretty loud. The thermostat and the lock for the door also came off, so we had to freeze a little bit before we figured out how to get it to work again. But overall it was great !!! I would recommend it 💜
Loved this stay. The perfect size for my boyfriend and I on our staycation. Well stocked and close to everything downtown Raleigh. Very comfortable and cozy, would definitely recommend this stay!
