Older nice house with updated kitchen & bathrooms, very clean, well stocked with essentials. Great host communication. The few small cons is the upstairs window cooling units are not powerful enough to keep it comfortable during a summer day when the sun is out, and because it is an older house there is some floor noise when walking. Overall I’d recommend this property and say it was a good value.

It is hard to summarize what a gem this property and host were for my daughter’s graduation this May! First, I booked both the house and the back studio unit. My plans changed quite a bit as folks decided whether or not to attend the graduation and the host, Dylan was available and agreeable every step of the way! They also sent the most detailed list of things to do in the area I have ever seen! We used many of them. Next, location: This home is PERFECT for anything related to Duke( Move in/out, grad, parent weekend, games etc) since it is two blocks from East campus and, thus, the shuttle to west campus (Or a lovely 1.8 mile walk to West). It is also 2-3 blocks from all the shops and restaurants on Broad and 9th. Even walkable to downtown or a very quick Uber. The home. It was very comfortable, especially the beds-all 6 guest commented on the beds. We even made one meal and the kitchen was well appointed. Appreciate the coffee and tea set-up. Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

Lovely boho style house just a couple of blocks from campus. We had a nice two day stay with our family. Communication was easy and quick with owners. Would definitely stay again.

Place was clean. Only complaint was upstairs air. Upstairs was really warm, the stationary fans don't really help much, but it was in a great area. Ton of stores close by and in walking distance of Duke. We were pleased overall.

I booked this and then two weeks before coming had to change my dates by one day. They couldn't accommodate me so i asked if i could postpone my trip to another time as I come often to Durham. They said no. I then got snowed in the blizzard and missed two out of the 3 nights i had booked. I arrived at 830pm the 3rd night to a freezing home. 46 degrees. The heating was broken. I emailed the property manager and didnt get a reply until the next day.The place was also in need of some TLC. The kitchen was not well equipped, the windows were stuck shut in the kitchen and the smoke detector kept going off. There were no blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Maybe if it were warm we would have felt ok about the other shortcomings, but overall it was a disappointing stay.

This house is in a great location - very walkable to Duke as well as restaurants and shopping. Host Dylan was always available for questions. The house was cute and clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-supplied. We had a great visit and would stay at this VRBO again.

Had an enjoyable stay. The hosts were responsive and even shared alerts regarding impending weather in the area (it was awesome to have access to a gas stove should electricity go out!). Ample parking with clear instructions. The kitchen even has an electric kettle - epic for an avid tea drinker like myself. The hosts also ask for feedback to improve the experience. Feedback included a curtain for the front window, dusting/cleaning again prior to a rental, and providing food storage.

House was very clean (and more importantly it didn't smell like cleaning products!). Location was great - easy to get around town. We had zero issues getting into the house or parking. The street was quiet. We enjoyed the front porch street swing in the mornings while drinking our coffee from Joe Van Goughs.

Very cute property with a lot of great charm. Towels were provided in each of the bedrooms, and we had everything there that we needed for the weekend. My group loved the living room, kitchen, and downstairs bedroom/bathrooms. However, the upstairs bedrooms were not quite as nice. The beds were okay, but the floors creaked so loud that they could be heard by every other guest in the other rooms. The upstairs AC window unit was beyond rattly. I slept with earplugs not just because of that, but because of the drag racing that occurred half a block down the street every night of our Thurs-Sun stay between midnight and 2am (not something the owners can help, of course, but something to be aware of). Although the whole house was very tidy, my housemates discovered several roaches in the few days we were there.I'd certainly recommend this house, especially if you just plan to use the downstairs bedroom. If you don't need to turn on the upstairs window AC, I'm sure it would be much quieter. Hopefully the drag racing doesn't happen every single night. Overall it was still a very good stay.

Really convenient location for event at Duke. Close to groceries and restaurants. Older charming home, and well cleaned. Good stay at this price point. The owner sent a lengthy message prior to check in with the details. The toilet/bath area for the master has a smoked glass door, so be aware if you are staying with multiple people and privacy is a concern. There is another bath with a regular door right outside the master, so that helped. And a nice bathroom upstairs as well. The upstairs is cooled with a portable AC unit, and it was quite warm when we arrived late at night. Not sure I’d want to sleep up there in summer. The unit could use a few more towels and silverware/dishes. The water pressure for showers was a bit weak, but the temperature was good and there seemed to be enough hot water. Would love to see some sort of curtain over the glass by the front door. Felt a bit exposed at night. Overall, a fine stay. Thank you.

I did not spend much time at the house due to other business in Durham but it was in a nice neighborhood near Duke West Campus and Ninth Street, and I enjoyed the porch with a swing, the big kitchen and the bathroom attached to the master bedroom. The house is on the older side and smelled vaguely of marijuana when I arrived, which wasn't a big deal, but the king bed in the master bedroom definitely needs some attention. It sagged a lot in the middle and was actually tilted down toward the headboard. Otherwise, the house worked well for this visit, and communication with Dylan was good.

Home was convenient to Duke Hospital. Businesses are within walking distance. Checkin was easy. Driveway off street was nice for unloading. Home is as pictured. Bed and bedding was very clean and comfortable. Master on suite bath was wonderful! We utilized the front porch everyday, it is set up beautifully and has a selection of seating areas.

The house is older and really cute inside. The downstairs bedroom / bathrooms were updated. We didn’t cook, but fridge worked great. Ice trays were helpful and we appreciated having coffee grounds and filters available. Linens were clean and plenty. Sheets and bedding were comfy. The only thing I didn’t care for was the window unit and spot cooler upstairs. They worked, but were loud and the cooler kept cycling and waking me up. I ended up moving downstairs the 2nd night and was very comfortable. Check-in/out was simple.
