"For the place it's nice hotel. It has some flaws but overall I'd go there again. Hotel is nicely designed but the rooms could be better equipped. We had full board, the buffet breakfast could be better, but I understand they can't put tons of food for total aprox 10 people accommodated in the hotel during our stay. The lunch and dinner was excellent. "

"Staff were very kind and courteous. The spa treatments were great, we got them at the Irma spa and they were lovely. We did the mirror pool and mud pool + short massage, which made the trip worth it. The area itself is really beautiful, green and nice to walk around / have a drink. Also there are restaurants nearby in town which are really nice. Overall a nice trip but the other reviews are right that the property itself is dated. First impression on arrival wasn’t great but stay was nice...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Rakovice?
Given Rakovice is a small village, the best area to stay is within the village centre itself, particularly near the main road, Rakovická ulica.

The village centre is the most convenient spot. Rakovická ulica runs through the heart of Rakovice, where you'll find the local church, a few small shops, and the village's cultural centre. It's a peaceful setting, surrounded by fields and vineyards, offering a genuine taste of rural Slovak life.

For those seeking a quiet escape, the village centre is ideal. It provides a tranquil base for exploring the surrounding Trnava region, with opportunities for gentle walks or cycling along country lanes.
When is the best time to go to Rakovice?
The best time to visit Rakovice is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the temperatures are comfortably mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, which is ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and engaging in outdoor activities. You'll find the local vineyards and orchards at their most appealing, either blooming in spring or laden with fruit in autumn. It's a particularly good time for couples interested in leisurely walks, wine tasting, and experiencing the region's natural beauty without the heat of summer.

Families might also find these times appealing, as the weather is agreeable for children to play outdoors without becoming overheated.
