Marina di Ragusa is a vibrant resort, popular with all ages. This ground-floor apartment for 6 people, just a 10-minute walk from the beach, is the perfect destination for a family or friends who want a fun beach holiday, but with the option to explore some of Sicily’s fascinating history.

The apartment has a spacious terrace which is partly shaded and makes a relaxing outdoor living space. The terrace has a dining table and chairs for meals al fresco. French windows lead from the terrace into the airy, open-plan living area, with its cool tiled floors and high ceilings. The contemporary sofa is adjacent to the stylish dining suite, which is conveniently placed next to the open kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen has an induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer and coffee machine.

Bedroom 2: This light-filled bedroom has a double bed.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a single bed.

Location
Marina di Ragusa is known for its wide beaches with fine, golden sand and clear sea. It was once a fishing village called Mazzarelli, and the medieval heart of the old town is still known by this name. It is now a vibrant area full of bars, cafés and restaurants. The town itself has all the amenities you need including a supermarket just 3 minutes from the apartment.
There are several places close to the main marina where you can hire boats or pedaloes. Alternatively, you can try sailing, windsurfing, paddle-boarding or kite-surfing.
Away from the coast is the lovely town of Scicli (20 minutes) which is not only an architectural treasure, full of Baroque palaces and churches, it also has an excellent weekly market (Tuesdays) in Via Saffi. Here visitors can buy the best local produce.

The regional capital is the better-known town of Ragusa (25 minutes). Ragusa, like Scicli, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its Baroque architecture and winding lanes. The town also hosts a prestigious music competition and festival every July.

Catania’s International Airport is a 1 hour 45 minute drive from the apartment.
