For our first time staying in a RV it was cool the boys like that the lake and pond was right there and they could fish we will try to rent again in the future if available and also definitely when the fish tournament come back around next year
The host is very responsive and accommodating. Property is clean and inviting...the pond is within walking distance and makes for a nice view. This is the second time staying here and will definitely be back next year!!
Good for a weekend stay to fish. A little lacking on the lighting, but I think it’s just because we live in a day and age where bright LED lights dominate the household so we weren’t used to it being a little darker in the RV than we anticipated.
Tamra & Rick are great people. They do what they say and are very responsive when you need something. It's jyst a great place to stay and very budget friendly.
We had a wonderful weekend stay! Rick and Tamara were extremely thoughtful and welcoming. The camper was clean and had everything necessary for a great weekend on the lake.
Even though it was a work stay Hookem Hideout made it feel like a vacation not a care in the world. I would recommend this getaway to anyone work or pleasure. Great Host!!
My grandson and I stayed 4 nights. We were there for Banjo Ben's Bluegrass and Bass Camp and it worked perfectly for us. Having the boat ramp just a stone's throw away was a great perk for us. The long driveway was great for our pontoon boat and two trucks. Very nice and well-kept yard and pleasant environment with a nice view of the lake. Will definitely plan to return!

Liked: Location
The property itself was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. The easy access to the lake and the fishing pier were definite highlights and made for a very enjoyable stay. However, we did have several issues during our visit. When we arrived, the shower was running and there was condensation covering the bedroom ceiling. The bed was damp, though thankfully not completely soaked. The host responded relatively quickly when contacted, but did not offer to come out and inspect the situation. The following day, we discovered there was no hot water. We contacted the host and received a quick response, but were then asked to try restoring the service ourselves. Unfortunately, we did not have any tools and were unable to do so. Eventually, the host contacted a neighbor who came over and helped switch out the propane tank, which resolved the issue.Additionally, it would have been helpful if the rental overview had noted that the pools (an above ground on property and a community pool about 5 minutes away) do not open until Memorial Day weekend. My main plan was to relax by the pool and swim while my husband fished, so that was disappointing. The cabin seems to be set up primarily for overnight fishermen, so there were limited cooking utensils, dishes, and kitchen supplies available. Overall, the location and property were wonderful, but the maintenance and amenities could definitely be improved.
