The rooms were clean, well maintained and spacious. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the backwater, complimentary high tea and an evening houseboat ride along with a great breakfast. I would highly recommend it.

We requested a room change on arrival as we were over looking a rusted metal roof top! Vineet spoke to reception and sorted it for us. All staff are always helpful. Yangsong, Leela, always went over and above to help. Shiva, the head of food and beverage, the deputy front desk manager who arranged our taxi, even the GM, all so approachable! Everyone had a smile on their face! Lovely place to relax

Lobby is very pleasant and beautiful. Don’t know about the main building but we were in a separate building. Carpet in the hallway needs updating. Room is out dated as well as bathroom. Does not look like 4-5 star hotel. Breakfast was okay. Restaurant looked wry old style. Other than that bed was comfortable. Lobby ambiance is very pretty.

This is the best property in Kollam. The views of the Ashtamudi lake and the surrounding scenery are both jaw dropping. Breakfast is a grand feast! Staff is responsive and very helpful. I always stay here when I’m in Kollam.

The Leela Ashtamudi is a truly beautiful hotel with a prime position overlooking the backwaters. The staff were excellent. The complementary high tea and house boat cruise really made our stay in Kollam. Our room was of a very high standard but tired in areas, as were some parts of the hotel. Overall excellent but management could really do with investing in maintenance/upgrade to make this a truly world class destination.
