This house is an absolute piece of paradise. It has all the amenities needed that you don't even have to leave the house. It is so peaceful and relaxing. By far, one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Perfect place for my family of 6.

This property was gorgeous and our host Gabriel was attentive! We felt safe for our entire stay. The balcony view was breathtaking! Coffee while swinging and watching the birds and waves was the perfect way to start our day. If driving (which I recommend), definitely get a vehicle with AWD and take wide turns, we learned as we went along. The pool and entire house is very clean! Ice maker is clean! Grill is clean! If needed, housekeeping was available, and we requested these services once during our week stay for trash and to wash towels. Only thing to caution is if you swim, dry your feet very well as the tile past the pool area gets slick easily.

This was an amazing place to stay! We came to Costa Rica for the animals, and we saw more while sitting right on the lovely outdoor patio than we saw anywhere else. The birds were so active in the morning, and the monkeys entertained us in the afternoon. All communication with the management company was easy and thorough. The home itself was well appointed and comfortable for our family. We would highly recommend staying here!

House is absolutely incredible! Had everything you could possibly need. The little restaurant down the hill at the Manuel Antonio Surf School (MASS) was so much fun. Had a great and very fresh lunch and monkey show. The pool was a little too chilly for my liking but did dip in to cool off for a second (could be time of year and shade). Definitely recommend driving the driveway in the light your first time.

The view from the balcony was impressive. House was very clean with all the conveniences. Pool was beautiful at night with the pool lights on. Nice area for grilling. Neighbor was very friendly. Gave us information about the neighborhood and the town. Taxi service always prompt. Most enjoyable stay.

Our two families of 2 and 4 loved staying at Casa del Toro. The house was perfect for us, well situated, a pleasure to enjoy birds and other wildlife from the expansive balcony, the inviting pool, the comfortable beds and bedrooms, the great location and views of Quepos and the bay. The layout of bedrooms was perfect for two families and provided great privacy. The checkin process was a breeze. One person we'd especially like to recommend is Jorge, the concierge affiliated with the property. He provided many services from arranging transportation from and to San Jose, delivery and pickup of our Adobe rental vehicle at the house, local excursions and guides, even purchasing some essential groceries for our late arrival to we could enjoy breakfast at the house the next day. Jorge even arranged last minute return transportation from a San Jose hospital following my wife's fall at a local restaurant. The house is located on a hill and the short drive from the highway is steep with a couple of sharp turns, but we had no difficulty driving our rental SUV to and from the house. There are about 30 stairs from driveway to front door, but stair height is easy to navigate, and even in our 80s, my wife and I managed quite well. Overall, Casa del Toro is definitely one of the best vacation rentals we've ever had, and I highly recommend it.

Spring Break Adventure Trip w/Teens

A beautifully spotless clean house up on hill that overlooks Quepos and Quepos Bay. The house was spacious, the pool fantastic, the living areas roomy and comfortable for a family of 4 (the two teens got their own room and bathroom). We’d come back again with couples as it has ensuite bathrooms. We saw right from the balcony toucans, macaws, iguanas, and a variety of tropical birds. No laundry on premise but they will do laundry for you. Just had some wet clothes in between.

Great Location, 5-star service

I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s before and I can easily say that Casa Del Toro was by far the best experience in many aspects. The house was very spacious with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Best parts: Lots of privacy, beautiful pool, great location just outside Quepos and 5-7 drive to Manuel Antonio, and great views. The only complaint I would have would be the intermittent hot and cold water while taking a shower. But it’s no issue if you have a bit of patience. The two concierge went above and beyond all expectations. Hazel did a great job booking tours , a rental car and explaining the check in process. Once on property, Jorge was amazing. His recommendations for restaurants was spot on and anytime we needed a special favor or taxi, he was on top of it. Will recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Casa del Toro

Great home base for exploring Manuel Antonio park and Quepos area. Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) stayed 5 nights. Jorge was easy to communicate with via text. He helped us check in and answered questions we had through the week. Hazel was also easy to work with. She helped us to prepare for our trip and scheduled an ATV tour for our family. Beautiful views. Wildlife all around us. From our deck we saw colorful Toucans and Macaws. A group of Capuchin monkeys visited us the first day. Laundry is a plus. Pool was great. Plenty of room for our teenagers to spread out and have their own space. Like reviews have said, the driveway is steep. But if you’ve ever stayed anywhere in the mountains, you’ve probably been up worse. Great house, would certainly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay inmenaley! The property was beautiful and kept up nicely. We saw plenty of animals from Our balcony! Monkeys toucans and macaws! The location wasn’t far from restaurants or activities. The concierge was friendly and very informative! We loved the pool for evenings to relax after a long day of sightseeing! My only suggestions are - they list washer and dryer as amenities which you can’t use - the housekeeper will wash all of your clothes which is fine but having access for beach towels and all of that would have been nice. One other thing…inside the family room we had 6 people- there is not enough seating in living room for 6…seems strange for a three bedroom. There was plenty of outdoor seating etc but late night we would have liked to congregate in that area. But truly a beautiful place, I would go back again to this location!

Casa del Toro delivers as advertised!!

This was our first time in Costa Rica and we selected this property based on our needs (this was a special family celebration) the description and photos of the property, and the reviews. Believe what you see and read ... this villa is beautiful, comfortable, relaxing. We all loved it. The layout is very practical, the deck big and comfortable ... a beautiful place for taking in the sunsets or listening to the birds, or the rain. We rented an SUV for our 2 week stay and if you do, it may take a time or two to get used to the driveway to the property. In the trees and foliage around us, we had lots of regular visitors - from the many macaws, to a family of toucans in a tree in front of us, to local families of squirrel monkeys and white faced capuchin monkeys. It was a truly beautiful location, incredibly relaxing. We cooked in quite a bit so the BBQ was very handy. The housekeeping service was second to none, and the concierge support was very responsive. You will not be disappointed!!

Family week vacation in Quepos/Manuel Antonio - AMAZING!

I rarely do reviews, but this trip was so far above expectations, it deserves as many accolades as my family can give. It was my first trip to Costa Rica and taking my family of 6 down there, I had no idea what to do or expect. First, after booking the property, the management agency (2Costa Rica Vacation Rentals) was all about service. Hazel gave me all the information needed for a great trip, including helping with outings, questions regarding food, groceries, money... even booked me a car! Once there, Jorge took over and made sure we have every little thing we needed. Immediately responsive and full of great insider information, he made the trip amazing for me and my family. He got us groceries and food delivered, communicated for outings, even gave us insider tips on where to go/park for good surf! As for the property... I would give it 6 stars if I could. Nothing short of amazing. Great, private and safe location, incredible views, clean, well laid out, AC worked great, pool and covered deck were used every single day. We loved being on the property almost as much as the incredible day trips we took to the beach, biplane, waterfall, Manuel Antonio National Park, hikes, etc. Highly, highly recommend both the house and the management company. Service and quality at the highest level!

Casa del Toro exceeded every expectation we had for our family vacation in Costa Rica. This trip was especially meaningful for us..we got engaged in Costa Rica 11 years ago and married here 10 years ago, so returning now as a family of six felt incredibly special. Watching our children experience the beauty and adventure of this country has been unforgettable.We travel often and have very high standards when it comes to accommodations, and this home truly stands out. Casa del Toro is beautifully designed, thoughtfully laid out, spotless, and incredibly welcoming. Every detail feels intentional, creating the perfect balance of luxury, comfort, and family-friendly relaxation. Our kids genuinely did not want to leave and honestly, neither did we.The location was perfect for adventure-filled days.One of the most unforgettable parts of the trip was the monkeys visiting us two days in a row.A huge thank you to Jorge and Cesar for making our stay so seamless and special. Beautiful property and breathtaking view!

My wife, our two teen girls, and I stayed for a week in July, and it was great. We loved the Casa Del Toro and its quick access to Manuel Antonio park, excellent restaurants, and fun activities. Our concierge, Jorge, welcomed us and gave us good recommendations. We would stay here again!

Amazing place

We had a fantastic time at la Casa del Toro. The views from the terrace are incredible and the villa itself has everything to make for a perfect stay. it is very well appointed and offered plenty of space for our group of 5 people. The property management company did an amazing job. They were extremely helpful, before and during our stay.

Jorge was extremely helpful. He met us at a nearby location and helped us get to the house. Jorge also made horseback riding reservations for us and it was an excellent tour that he reserved. He was also available for restaurant suggestions and other helpful advice. The house is very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and breakfast. We will definitely consider staying at this location again.
