What a marvelous place to stay outside of a busy Queenstown in the summer. Huge comfortable bed , super clean, tons of hot water and a 5 and walk to an excellent breakfast, wine tasting and dinner. Couldn’t have asked for a better lace to kick off our tour of New Zealand

We have traveled all over the world and this was one of the top five places we've ever stayed at. As a young couple who loves nature, the outdoors, but also good food/wine, and also has a baby, Kinross was the perfect place for us. The location is stunning. Vineyards in a valley with gorgeous mountains all around. Just a short drive from Queenstown, Arrowtown, and other local attractions. The cottages are spacious, well-designed and with every imaginable amenity. The bistro serves amazing food with great free breakfasts, and the free nightly wine tasting is a fantastic bonus! It's a classy but casual place and VERY kid friendly, which we loved. Our little toddler loved exploring the grassy spaces, vineyards, and play areas. We stayed here three nights but wish we could have stayed more. We hope to return. DEFINITELY choose Kinross if you are visiting this part of New Zealand!

Definitely a place to return to whenever possible

Kinross Cottages are part of the Kinross Winery in Gibbston. So, while it is 25 minutes drive from Queenstown, the stay there was fabulous and we did not regret choosing the hotel as our base for the visit in Queenstown. We were offered tasting of a variety of local wines with wonderful explanations and recount of their origins. The breakfast is delicious and caters to a wide variety of tastes (except for the lack of vegetables - but that is endemic of New Zealand as a whole). The kitchen in the cottage offers a great opportunity to cook your own dinner if you tire of eating out. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom - relaxing.
