Was a little disappointed to learn that there was an additional $150 fee (a residence fee, I believe they called it) that I was unaware of when I booked via Expedia. Feels like I was trapped into paying more money that I was not expecting to pay.

This is not an upscale urban hotel. Fried owners though have tried exceptionally hard to come as close as possible. Once a person accepts that you will be taken back to the real Hungary100 years ago or more, living the life of the lord(ess) amongst the real people of Hungary. Enjoy.
