"location was great, the lake and the wildlife were amazing. enjoyed sitting in the glassed in room each night listening to all of the sounds. the kids were a bit shocked by the 'don't drink the water' warnings, which caused a bit of drama, but otherwise, it was a much needed week away."

Maine Evergreen Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

"This was a pleasant surprise.. a hidden gem that felt like I should look out the window and see a lake. Staff were friendly and wonderful, room was clean quiet, beds comfy including soft sheets ample pillows and nice furnishings. We had a boat attached and the parking options were perfect. The free breakfast was excellent as was the delicious local coffee. Their walls are adorned with excellent local art too which is available for purchase. We used it as a hub to go boating on belgrades lakes so location perfect as the little town of Hallowell was just up the street with a fantastic food and bar scene. Really a wonderful place! Ps I never give reviews but this hotel deserves it! "

Rejuvenating

"The staff at this hotel are genuine and welcoming. The room was comfortable and just what I needed to relax after a few stressful days. I enjoyed swimming some laps in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. My 9 year-old-niece was with me so I didn't get to experience the spa the way I would have liked. If I ever make it up to Maine again, I will make it a point to stop here again. But perhaps with my boyfriend."

Older place but clean and a good value.

"This older property is in an awkward area on a sloping street. This leads to having to travel up and down hill to get in and out from your car. The room was clean, but showing some age. It needed some basic maintenance. The room was quiet considering the location near a busy street. The ac-heater was somewhat noisy."
