"The RESORT was great, overall. Very well maintained, and exceptionally clean grounds. The Jr. Suite was big and everything was clean and refreshed by housekeeping each day. We enjoyed the Pool Bar each day and was entertained by Ismael, our bartender. Great drinks, fabulous atmosphere. Our Butler, Alfaro, attended to our needs and was quick to make things happen. The only disappointment was the food. It was mainly pretty bland, with the exception being 9 Doors Restaurant which was very good."

"Everything stood out! Resort staff were amazing from the restaurants to the pool staff, to the agent from Expedia! The second time we went to the Spa, one of the ladies was rude, so we left. But i refuse to let her character change the rating for everyone else. I would def come back "

"Excellence El Carmen - Dominican Republic is a wonderful choice for an all-inclusive luxury vacation. It is nicely designed and organized so that you can be either active day and night, or alternatively, nice and quiet. The rooms are large and have beautiful balconies to enjoy. The beach is clean and easy to walk for several km in either direction. The food in the lunch and dinner restaurants is good, not great. The breakfast buffet is extensive with a huge variety available for you to enjoy. The Club pools are nice and quiet, while the main pool and beach are very active. We give a special shoutout to Jerson, bartending at the Club Pool. A major shoutout also goes to our guest services host Marleny. Marleny looked after anything that we needed during our stay, and made the vacation that much more enjoyable. She is an invaluable resource. This was our first experience at an Excellence property, and we look forward to many more in the future!"
