We hiked in the mountains and visited a coffee plantation, so I would definitely encourage a rental car to visit. "I have stayed her all three times I have been in David. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. and never fails to wish you a good morning on the way to breakfast or whenever returning from a walk. the free breakfast and of course the great coffee is a great way to start out the day. Taxis are always right outside and very cheap or jump on the bus that stops in front on a very regular basis if you want. two casinos are within a block and down the road a bit is a family run bar. The Chacon Bar. one of my favorite with a family that is simply the best. Will start my Panama getaways here every time I visit. Many thanks for once again a great stay "

"The staff were probably the best part of this experience, very nice. Very well pick you up and bring you back to the airport for a fee. The restaurant at the hotel has a good dinner however the breakfast was 50/50 for me. The hotel is within walking distance of the town. This area is safe nothing to be concerned with with regard to walking day or night that I could ascertain. However the hotel will take you when you need to go. The rooms are fine the air conditioning worked fine the bed was comfortable lots of pillow options. Spirit is a beautiful stream running through the property that makes a peaceful sound. There is a golf course at the property it was nice to look at, but the location is in a rainforest like environment. "
