Our second time here: our favorite hotel in the world! If you visit Punta del Este you MUST at least visit the Carlos Paez Museum & the sunset experience there! Do some research on the hotel & you will see how unique this hand built hotel really is! DONT MISS THIS PLACE!!

Hotel was just ok. It is a busy museum so there’s usually no parking during the day. My room was under the museum and they start some kinda construction every day around 7:30 am before open which vibrated the roof and walls plus the museum is open from about 8am-9pm and it’s loud. There is no hot tub as listed. The beds in the king room are two twins pushed together and they separate at night if you move at all. Breakfast is ok it’s the same exact meal for the 7days I was there. They do charge for the water and coke they put in your room.

Fairly tale waterfront castle

Amazing location but because I booked thru Hotels.com I paid more. I added a second room for half what I was quoted here for the first room. Book direct next time! Sunsets are a life changing experience must stay for them.

you might not be handy cap to be here, If you have issues WALKING, SEEN or climbing stairs.. clausto fovia too could be an issue DO NOT TAKE THIS HOTEL. Parking is far and a lot of stairs, expensive too. Do not bring too many bags or you will suffer. The view and art wonderful. you can still see it going only to the museum next door.

Incrível, que lugar maravilhoso. Trata- se de um hotel no estilo proposto, uma casa encantada, mas não um hotel moderno. A vista é expetacular, a proposta de estar na casa de Villaró é única. O atendimento foi ótimo, a piscina aquecida e sauna são itens adicionais ótimos, mas a cultura, a arte e a história é que fazem do hotel um lugar único.

Terrible place to stay.

The only positive thing about the hotel is that it is on the cliff and rooms have a balcony with a view. Other than that, it is a two-star hotel. The stag was wholly unfriendly and unsympathetic. We arrived at midnight, and before checking us in, she asked us to “wait while I finish something” and kept us waiting for ten minutes while his other colleague watched us. We were the only guests in the lobby. The rooms are big but old, and you can tell you have not been updated in at least twenty years. Breakfast was poor and unflavored except for the pain au chocolate, which might be the third good thing.

Pessima hospitalidade e respeito ao visitante

Pessimo local para quem precisa relaxar. Houve um casamento nas dependencias externas e todas janelas dos quartos para festa. Som ultra alto inviabilizou dormir. Fui reclamar na recepção as 1 da manha do barulho a atendente pediu para preencher um fomulario e enviaria ao gerente, mas a festa iria continua e o som tambem.

A localização do hotel é excelente. A vista maravilhosa. O design diferenciado. Os apartamentos sao muito espaçosos, mas antigos. Isso nao chega a ser um problema, com exceção da qualidade dos colchões que realmente deixa a desejar e não é condizente com o nível do hotel. O café da manhã é bastante resumido. O que oferecem é de ótima qualidade, mas tem pouca opção. Também é algo que merece melhorar.
