About this property
Lower Scott Lake cottage with She-shed
Beautiful cottage on Lower Scott Lake with additional detached sleeping She-shed . 2 bedrooms in main house: one with a queen bed and en suite full bathroom, the other has 3 twin beds and a full bathroom nearby in the hallway. .Cottage has all new furnishings and a comfortable great room area with TV/Fireplace, dining space, and a raised bar in the kitchen.
Additional building (She-shed) is just steps from the cottage, it has a queen size bed and a 1/2 bathroom. SPECIAL NOTE: For the winter - She-shed does not have central heat, only portable heaters, and the water is turned off in late October so that the pipes do not freeze.
Walk-out to the wrap around deck and you are just steps to the beachfront. The deck offers a gas grill and a picnic table/eating area. The fire pit area and beach front are shared by the neighborhood, but you will often have it to yourself!
Activities in the area all 4 seasons! Winter: ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling trails. Fall: orchards, hiking. Spring and summer: Lake Michigan beaches, fun nearby downtowns, biking trails. Less than 5 miles from Inisfree Farm, a beautiful wedding venue, and Gingerman Race Track.

The cabin was very clean and really well-stocked with everything we might possibly need during our stay. Beautiful view of the lake from windows in the main living area. It rained while we were there, but the lake and surroundings were very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed watching swans floating by outside our window. Thanks to Sue for providing everything for a great stay.
We loved our girl's getaway at this adorable house and look forward to coming back. The house and she shed were perfect for the five of us and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the kayaks in the morning and the campfire at night. The lakehouse is close to both Saugatuck and South Haven, which allowed us to spend a day shopping at each place.
This lakeside cottage was the perfect home base for to visit Michigan family in Allegan. Newly remodeled Impeccably clean. And when I say the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need… I do mean EVERYTHING. We have stayed at our fair share of VRBO properties and this was by far the most well stocked and thoughtfully appointed we have ever experienced. The lakefront location is superb. The spacious deck overlooking the lake and fire pit directly off the stairs - it was all fantastic. I can’t think of a single thing to criticize or suggest. Thank you Sue for sharing your home with us.
We have stayed at this property once before and couldn’t wait to return! The cottage is so nicely decorated and having the she shed for extra sleeping space was very comfortable (although adding hot water in the she shed would be a nice bonus!). Wonderful accommodations and such a peaceful setting! Thank you for sharing your home!

Quiet and peaceful home on lake. It is newly updated and stocked with everything you need. The view of the lake is beautiful. The town is very small with a couple of restaurants and a gas station. It’s about a 20 minute drive to South Haven. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway I definitely recommend this home.
We booked this location for a getaway with the kids for Father’s Day weekend. We were very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the house was! Pictures did not do it justice! We had a gorgeous weekend weather wise and would gladly choose to stay here again. The lake, neighborhood and neighbors were all wonderful and very friendly. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
This property is beautifully kept, has modern updates, and at the end of a secluded road. The lake was low during our stay so we didn’t spend much time in it, but my husband and brother enjoyed the kayaks and we saw lots of wildlife! We have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and the deck was perfect for keeping them safe but also outside to enjoy the weather. We can’t wait to come back!
Our family spent a delightful few days in this house. The house had plenty of room for us and our two boys, and Nana enjoyed the quiet of the ‘she shed.’ We found everything we needed in the house, including some games to play. Our favorite part was the deck with a beautiful view of the lake, and our two boys (5 and 3) loved having a beach to play on and water to swim in. South Haven was a quick drive to get groceries, ice cream, and visit Lake Michigan. The boys are already asking when we can go back!
